Cardboard Impression Maker

Cardboard Impression Maker

You'll Need

2 cardboard rectangles cut to the same size, masking tape, and scissors.
Have your child draw a simple picture, such as a flower or sun, on one of the pieces of cardboard. Carefully cut out the shape for your child with a utility knife. Put the cut rectangle on top of the other rectangle. Smear glue on the back of the cut-out shapes and replace them in the holes like puzzle pieces. Tape one edge of the two rectangles together with masking tape so the rectangles open like a book. When the glue has dried, place a sheet of stationery between the two cardboard rectangles. Hammer gently around the edges of the holes. When you take the paper out, you'll have a beautiful embossed picture to send along with note to a friend or grandma and grandpa.
