Sandpaper "Painting"
  • sandpaper
  • crayons
  • newspaper
  • white paper
  • iron
  • Have your child draw a picture on the sandpaper with crayons. Be sure to use dark colors and press hard to get the best effect. After they are done coloring their picture, place it on several sheets of newspaper. Place a sheet of white paper on top (you can also use waxed paper). Heat up your iron and iron over the entire picture. Remove the white paper covering. Let cool. The melted crayon gives a "painted" look on the sandpaper. You can place this in a frame, or make one out of popsicle sticks! You can also make this as a gift for Father's Day or Mother's Day!
