Snack Game

Snack Game

You'll Need

Large bowl of snack (animal crackers raisins popcorn etc...),Napkins or small bowls, one die (with dots or real numbers)
Here is a fun way to learn math and have a snack at the same time. Place large bowl in middle of table. Give each player a napkin or small bowl. Youngest player rolls die, first, and takes as many pieces of the snack as the die says (parents can help count for very young kids). Person to the left goes next around the table until the snack is all distributed. EAT! Variations: *Use two dice and have kids count larger numbers. *Use two dice and have kids write down the number on each die and add. *Guess what will be rolled prior to rolling die (or dice). *If one child gets a great deal more than another child, each child can count how many snack pieces they have and figure out how many more child A has than B. The difference can then be divided. *One child can play by rolling die (dice) and counting out how much of his/her individual portion to eat. Then roll again and again, until the snack is finished. Two dice can be used for addition, also.
