Tissue Paper Rainbow

  • Tissue paper in different colors
  • White Tag board
  • Water
  • paint brush
Cut the white tag board in to the shape of a rainbow, have children place precut sections of colored tissue onto the tag board in a rainbow fashion. Have them "paint" over the tissue with water. When the water dries (usually over night) have the children remove the tissue pieces for a water color effect. Optional: you can change this project by using glue instead of water and making a permanent rainbow with tissue pieces.

Groundhog Tunnel Game

Have the children line up in a row. To make the tunnel, have them stand close together with their legs apart. Have the last person in the row start the game.

Have the first groundhog crawl through the tunnel on his or her stomach. When the groundhog reaches the end of the tunnel, have him or her stand up & become a part of the tunnel while a new groundhog starts wiggling and giggling through.

Add bits of shredded foil, and/or glitter to add some sparkle your wreath. A bow can also be added. Looks very cute hanging from ceiling or as a door decoration!
