I'm so glad this week is over....Hopefully that's the last of whatever this virus was.
I woke up at 4:30 forced myself back to sleep...then woke up again alittle after 6 am...fully rested and ready to go...weird huh? So it's 7 a.m and I'm wasting time.
I'm just going to take it easy all weekend. Maybe rent a movie or two...any suggestions?
Have a great day!
Going back to see my nutritionist today. Girls' happy hour tonite. DS thinks he is playing golf today, DD is going to Friday fun night at the Y.

Not too much going on around here today. The pipes in the laundry room backed up the other night so everything is still a little damp. Trying to catch up on my laundry... hopefully that won't happen again any time too soon. Ugh!!! What a mess!
This did seem like a long week... can't wait for the weekend! Dh and I are on our own tonight so were trying to think of some place different we can go for dinner... then to Sam's Club to get a few things. Hope today goes by fast...
Vea... I'm glad you're feeling better.
Diane...
Vea, glad you are feeling better. A good movie dh and I saw recently was Secret Window with Johnny Depp. Starsky and Hutch is also good.
Not much on for me. Work, of course. Need to get groceries tonight. Dad is having his brothers and sisters and their spouses over tomorrow for a get-together so I said I'm make something to take over. Not sure what, but I know I'll have to buy groceries to make it :D
This weekend is RibFest, where rib places from Canada and the US compete for best ribs, best sauce, etc. I think 3 or 4 alone are from Alabama. Will be heading to the park for ribs sometime this weekend but not sure which day. Ds is disappointment he's missing this.
Seems like a long week to me, too, but I'm not sure why. Just grocery shopping today, and general stuff to get ready for the weekend.
Tonight we're supposed to get together with my mom and her dh, mil, fil and another couple to play games. Any new games out there that are must have's?
It's been a long week for me too. So far I have worked 54 hours this week! 8o I can't wait for preschool to start so that I can get into a normal routine. Then I'll only be working 29-33 hours a week. Today and tomorrow both I only have to work 4 hours at the gas station but then Sunday I have a 8 hour CPR/First Aid class.
Vea- glad you are feeling better

Sounds like everybody has been really busy. Hope you can all enjoy your weekend.
Bev where is the ribfest? Dh and I went to one a couple of years ago downtown (TO). Is there where it is again? Dh and the boys might like to go to it.
Oldest ds has had a cold/cough for the last couple days, and youngest ds woke up this morning with a sore throat. Dh was supposed to take the day off today so we could do something fun, but since both boys are a little under the weather, he is going in to work this morning and we'll see about this afternoon.
Very hot and humid here today, overcast and calling for rain!!!
Enjoy your day!

Rained all night and is overcast here today. I haven't been out so I'm not sure if it's as muggy as yesterday. Crazy weather!
Youngest didn't sleep well last night and at 7 was asking for the highchair so he must have been hungry when he woke up to ask for that! lol I'm still trying to get all the blankets clean that the kids had in the tent the other night on top of reg. laundry. The blankets would have been okay but since they had a fire in the back yard that night they all stink.
Bev, ribfest sounds great. I can only make them one way but they do turn out very tender and falling off the bone.
Vea, glad you're feeling better. I saw Cold Mountain last night and it was pretty good. Starsky and Hutch was good too, but what isn't with Owen Wilson? ;)

Forgot to say that dd FINALLY got her car back last night. I can't believe the fantastic job they did fixing it up. You wouldn't know it had been totaled. 8o I'm so glad everyone has their own car's again. :)

I think TO's RibFest was at the end of June. This one is in Guelph. They move around Southern Ontario throughout the summer. Wanna make the trip here, lol?

The only way "I" can make them is in the crockpot and they fall off the bone while cooking so I don't get the fun of chewing them off the bone myself ;)
Cold Mountain was good too... and love Owen Wilson also (and Ben Stiller).

Hi... Good morning...Where's my coffee?!
My face feels like a truck hit it. I can't stop clenching my teeth at night. The denist said it's probably what's keeping my root cannal from healing. Maybe I'll rent Starsky and Hutch.
Got to take to car back to the shop because the repair job on the car door only lasted a day. then kids are coming over and than ds is invited to yet another bday party. I think we've easily spent $250 on presents this summer.
Take it easy Vea!
Say hi to your nutristionist for me , Ann :)
Happy Weekend, Diane!
Bon Appetite, Bev :*
Pam, I don't know any new games, let us know what you decide to play. It great you know that many people that can stand to be in the same room togther...wish I did.
54 hours! That's dedication, Jen :snickers:
I hope everyone's feeling better over there, Marla.
Hope your dk's enjoyed their camp out, Melody.

Morning all! Still laying low with this stupid leg. :{ Had my massage on Wednesday....expect the bruising to start showing any time now! She sure gave me a deep tissue going over. Worst part is is that I still hurt! :\ Not sure what my next course of action should be....chiropractor/massage don't seem to have done the trick...don't think a medical dr. can do anything either.
We are suppose to go to my uncle's bday party on Sunday....a 4 hour drive each way....am thinking there is no way I would be able to sit in the van that long with this ache. Still up in the air if we are going or not.
Guess we will head to town to get more school supplies. Both places I went the other day were out of what we needed.
Picking dd up from camp tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how it went....pretty much rained every day this week....yesterday it rained non stop. Of course today the sun is out!
Well, back to the couch for me! I find if I have my leg elevated it helps.
Have a great day all!
:)

ooowwww! I'm sorry, Darlene.
I've never had a massage that left bruises. Too bad you went though all that and it didn't work.
Darlene, is it sciatica? A med doc can definitely help with that.
Melody, rib recipe please.

Darlene, hope you find out what the problem is with your leg and the pain goes away soon.
Ann, it's very easy. All I do is put ribs in a foil bag and pour two bottles of sauce over them, one strong garlic and one medium or honey garlic or teriyake. I bake them at 250 deg. F until done turning the ribs once in a while to make sure they are fully coated. They come out so tender in the foil bag, they fall off the bone. I do use a roast pan with a lid sometimes if I ran out of bags. They are still pretty tender.
