Our realtor help an open house this AM and came back to us with four offers. One was not even considerable but the other three were very close. We sent them back to the bargaining table and came back with three new offers. Changed a few options and sent them back again. One dropped out and the other two both came back with offers that were almost $3000 more than our asking price.
The one had the stipulation of selling their own home first and recieving financing.
The second had a pre-approved mortgage and the only extra they asked for was the built in micro-wave. Nothing to sell first. Ready to sign the dotted line today!!

We went with #2.

I hesitated on how to tell the kids but it went well. dd asked a lot of questions and as it turns out the family who bought our house has a dd in my dd's class. I don't personally know them, but dd thinks it's kind of exciting. It's only been a little over an hour and she is coming up with ideas. She wants to invite the girl over for a sleepover and help her decide how she will decorate her room when she moves in. I don't know if this is a good idea. She can get very bossy. I don't know how well she even knows this child. We'll have to give it some thought. I don't want to discourage her from making friends but don't want her inviting this child into our home just to tell her what she can and can not do in what is going to be her new home.

Going house hunting next weekend. Hope we find what we are looking for quickly. dh is going to be in the area a couple days this week so is going to take a look around. BIL has already lined up a couple places for us to see.

How incredible!!! That is wonderful!!! I hope you find a new house you really love and your dd finds a "new" room she can decorate! I'll bet you have one happy Realtor on your hands. I have never heard of anything like that before.

AngieR -- Am I confused or are you supposed to be watching a large dinosaur about now? Have lots of fun whenever it is...I'm sure your dd will!

CONGRATULATIONS on selling your house... and I hope you don't have any problems finding a new one. It seems like everywhere I look there are TONS of houses FOR SALE. Our realtor told us that we would probably end up in a "bidding war" also... as a lot of people have already called and inquired about the house. LOL I'll keep my fingers crossed!! It's always nice to get more than what you're asking for. LOL

Let us know how the house huntng goes.

Diane...

Things are starting to go the right way, thank heavens. dd is doing much better, the move or not to move situation worked itself out, etc... We are not sure where exactly we are moving just yet but somewhere in the Toronto area. dh got a job transfer to Mississauga with a BIG pay raise, chance for promotion, better benifits, company car .... it was just too good to turn down. We have family in the Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville area (all around Toronto) so hope to settle near there. Maybe one of the smaller towns just outside the city. We are going to be in Brampton next weekend for a nephews first communion celebration so plan to take a look around then. Dh is down there now, on business, so is going to talk to a few people and see if anything catches his interest. He should be home tomorrow night so I will find out more details then.

It was great that our house went so fast. That's just one less thing for me to worry about. Everyone keeps telling me that I'm extra emotional but I don't feel it myself. No morning sickness so far  I haven't started showing yet, but with three of them in there I half expect to wake up in the middle of the night and wonder where the beach ball came from. By the end, I'll likely just think someone parked their limo in there. I'll just enjoy my nice little tummy while it lasts. :nervous:

The doctor is saying 12 weeks, I say 10 - about the time of our little get away to Florida.
As for gender, it's still being debated. I want to know, but I don't want to know. Ds has already told me they are all boys "because girls can't play hockey." mil says it is a sin if we go to find out, it just isn't ment to be that way. (as if I care what she thinks). I have an appointment next Wed. for an ultra-sound, so will try and decide by then. dh is just as unsettled as me on the decision.

Good luck with your decision making. I *think* I would want to know so I could start stocking up on stuff and picking names, etc, but I could see where one wouldn't want to find out either - what a fun surprise!! :)

Congrats on selling the house. What a dream for all to go so smoothly.
Where are you now? Toronto is a nice area but so huge I know I would be way to chicken to drive in it. We have to go through it all this summer on the way to a wedding.
And Congrats on the babies comming. I had no idea, guess I missed some posts. How exciting, so many at one time.
