If you knew it would be the last conversation you'd have with a person? I completely understand if you don't want to answer, it's not exactly an easy question, I know.

Amy, this really brings back a lot of memories for me.
As you know my father-in-law passed away almost a year ago (October). When I left his room for the last time, I hugged him and told him that he was a very special person, and that the world was a better place because of him, and that I loved him.

I love you and you are so special to me.
I tell them I love them. Not sure what else I would say, but it seems like I would want to say more. It's hard to know I guess.

I told my dad that I loved him, how much he meant to me. I told him how much I was going to miss him and how I'd think of him often. I also let him know how much I appreciated everything he had done for me, and that my life wouldn't be the same without him... and it hasn't. Somehow even though I felt I said what I needed to say... it didn't seem right, or like it enough. Sometimes I find myself thinking about some of the things I wished I had said... and can't. :(

Thanks for replying! I'm learning that I need to express my feelings as often as possible because this week has certainly taught me you truly never know what can happen from one day to the next. Df and I don't get into fights, but I know I'll never go to bed without saying what I'm feeling from this point on, to anyone! No matter what the situation is!
