And so far it's a beautiful sunny day here, but they are calling for rain this afternoon and evening. For the next coupole of days, it is supposed to get cooler outside. Was just watching the news and the hurricaine updates; hope everyone is safe and sound.

Oldest ds's birthday today :bday: I can't believe he is already 12.....how is it that they keep getting older, and we keep getting younger :goofy:

Also woke up to sunshine... looks like it's going to be a nice sunny day. Not too much on the agenda. I have extra kids today plus the kindergartner's don't have school so it will be a busy day. :) I'm thinking a trip to the park and back home and letting them make something for their snack. I'm thinking I'll put a movie on for them to watch during quiet time. LOL Dd #2 is coming over for a visit tonight... I miss her terribly but it was definitely time for her to move out. It's nice to see them when they come back though. :)

Well last night was too funny. Ds1 wanted to enter the town fair scarecrow contest with his buddy. By the time he got a hold of this boy and he came over with the hay it was after 5. Entries are to be at the fair anytime after 6 but close at 9. Their theme was Avril Levigne and the skater boiz. They also did this with ds2, girl next door and buddy's cousin. So last night we did them on the front lawn where lots of hay is still covering my grass and brought all 3 scarecrows to the fair last night. First prize is 50$ so they are very excited and hoping they win. lol

Sun is shining and it's going to be warm. Today I'm off to Winners. I need to find some pants/jeans and it's the best place for me to go. I always find some that fit and at a decent price. Tonight is the family night at the fair so we are going to that after dinner.

Not much on today...like Marla mentioned, we are expecting rain this afternoon and cooler temps. Work today then Survivor tonight, woohoo!!! Ds wants to go to the mall for skater shoes so we'll see.

I've been trying to get through to Pensacola to see how my sister and her family faired through Ivan...... no responses, no power. etc.

While talking to another sister to see if she'd heard anything, she tells me her dd got engaged last night and supposedly, my niece is going to ask me to be in the wedding!! Eeeeee!!!!! It'll be in Salt Lake next May so I've got enough time to hit the gym and Weight Watchers. LOL!!! Will just have to figure out how to find enough money for all three of us to fly out there, it's SO expensive.

Bless your heart. Ann, I've got to say you'd never make it teaching kdg. So many germs floating around. You have to have a strong constitution not to catch every little thing.

Grocery shopping today. For some reason I thought it would be "nice" to get it over with. I don't think grocery shopping is ever nice, lol! Care group tonight and hoping to get more done on my afghans. Found some quilt block material on sale today and got some of that, too, to make a quilted lap robe. We'll see if my sewing skills are up to it! :lol:

I just meant that you seem to be under the weather a lot, so I guess you are more susceptible to "bugs". I have a friend who will catch a "bug" if you even talk about it. Ha! And, no dh couldn't teach either if he wanted to stay healthy. He picks up "bugs" too easily and with all the sneezing, coughing, and general germ sharing he'd be sick all the time.
