Well were supposed to have those PPT meetings today. They never happened yesterday. Figures. Feeling better. Went to the doc and he said that it was a reaction that could happen but he's never seen it happen before. Lucky me. I am so sick of being sick. We talked about going to an allergist last week. I may do that soon.
Other then that taking it slow today!
Hit the eliptical last night instead of a walk outside, but I sure love walking outside. I really need to invest in some rechargeable batteries for ds's walkman.
Work today. Supposed to be another beautiful, sunny, hot day. We've had a better September than we had a whole summer :walkin:
Have my volunteer shift tonight. Will have to tape BB5 as it's on at 8, but I'll be home in time to watch the finale (2 hours worth) of AR5. Did you know they filmed some of this last episode in Alberta, Canada? Can't wait to be reminded of how beautiful the mountains are.

Bev, I didn't realize that tonight is the finale for AR5. Or that some was in Alberta. I grew up in Fort McMurray so I always get excited to see a glimpse of Alberta. :)
Ds1 has a dentist appt. today and since he is getting the laughing gas he has to fast. So he's home with me this morning. I just couldn't send him to school on an empty belly, ever sad!
Laundry today. It is supposed to be very nice out this week, I hope it feels as warm as the temp actually is.
Have a nice day all :)

I read that they are doing something at Olympic Park in Calgary, something at Sunshine Ski resort (maybe climbing the face of a mountain or something involving a gondola) and something at Bow River/Falls. Ds and I travelled these areas in July 2003 and absolutely loved it...can't wait to see all the scenery again.
P.S., good luck to your ds today.
It was a sad day here yesterday. The dog had the fly swatter and the kids were trying to get it away from him. When ds did, the dog growled at him and then bit his arm. He didn't draw blood, but he didn't let go when ds screamed or yelled and only let go when ds hit him on the head. Ds's arm is pretty swollen and bruised with one scratch on it. I was at work when it happened and dh was outside. Dh came to see me at work and told me what happened and to get rid of the dog. I know it was VERY hard for him to let the dog go becuse he is a big dog lover and he reallly did love that dog. I called all over and finally ended up taking him to the pound. He's in quarentine for 10 days and then we can go get him back if we want to. We won't go back and get him, we're just to afraid of what might happen. He's only 9 months old and already over 85 lbs. I'm hoping this guy I wirk with who doesn't have any kids will take him, but we'll have to way and see. Dd couldn't get to sleep last night because she was so upset. I think we are all upset in our own way. He was a good dog.
I think I have the morning off. Got a call last night to see if I could last minute sub if needed, but they haven't called yet this morning. Just doing laundry and then have work at the preschool this afternoon. Tonight I have school then home to watch tv. I don't know if Cowboy or Drew is going to win- but I think it will probably be Drew.

Thanks Bev.
Jak, so sorry about the dog but I think you did the right thing. Poor little guy, I hope the pain leaves his arm soon. It's very scary to be bit by a dog, even more confusing when it's your own. ((your ds))
Jen, how scary for your ds!!! Is there a rescue place you could take him to instead so he won't be put down if you don't get him?

Jen, how is your ds? It sounds like Ann had a good suggestion.
Just came home from work, and my feet are killing me. Both kids have lots have homework, so I better get started helping them.
Nothing much going on here.
(((HUGS))) Jen, I totally agree that you can't keep an animal that bites.
It must be hard on your entire family. hang in there.
Went to my reunion on Saturday, it was ok...10 years, everyone looked the same, 20 years, I wasn't sure I was in the right room....it was fun....but I could have skipped it....Dh and I had a nice hotel room, early check in, and we stayed late the next day so that part was really nice ;)
been busy here at work....got all my Autum decor out last night, since its finally starting to cool down here :jack:
BB5 tonight, not really caring who wins, just glad its not Diane.

Oh Jen, I'm so sorry!
I hope you can find a place where he won't have to be put down if you don't go back. Hugs to your ds.

I called a rescue place beofre I took him to the pound. She didn't call me back until 9 pm and I had already taken him to the pound. She left a message on my machine yesterday saying she was going to the pound to see if I had picked him up. I already told her I couldn't get him until the 30th becuase he was quarentined until then. I had to pay the pound $55 to take him and then I'd have to pay the rescue people too for them to take him. Dh said to just let it go so we can stop thinking about it.
Ds is fine. It scared him when it happened, but he wasn't scared of the dog at all. Ds was worried that we were mad at him and I explained that we were not mad at him, he didn't make the dog bite him. His arm is still swollen and bruised, but I'm sure it will be fine.
Hugs Jen. I am sure it will all work out. Did you only have the one dog? For some reason I thought you had like 2 dogs and 2 cats or something?
