Well, Minnie woke me up to go potty a little bit ago, and I can't get back to sleep, but I am so tired. I thought I would come here and try and catch up.

Same ole', same ole' day for me. Work, home, supper, bath, bed.....

Ugh...I can't sleep either. Tossed and turned for hours. Finally got up so I wouldn't disturb dh. I still have about 2 hrs before dd wakes up. This is gonna be a loooooong day!

Nothing going on here today but laundry and cleaning.

Ds3 slept pretty good last night but when he did get up I really didn't want to get out of bet yet. Cranky here actually. I am sick and tired of everyone leaving their stuff lying around for me to pick up. I am not their maid! Dh is going to get a shock real soon.
House cleaning today, what else! :tearhair: Is it too soon to take another vacation by myself?

I tried so hard to stay awake to watch all of the first part of The 4400 last night. It was good but I was too tired. Anyone else watch it?

My brother applied for disability and got it! :yippee: I'm sure it will help.

I slept like a baby last night and it was SO hard to have to get up/out of bed this morning. I've already gone for my walk and had my first cup of coffee and now I'm all set for the day to begin.

I'm in for a busy day today... no school again so all the kids will be here. If the weather holds out and it doesn't rain or get too hot we may be taking a trip to the park. What's nice is that all the other kids in the neighborhood still have school so when mine go outside to play I won't have to worry about ending up with a yard full of kids. LOL

Hair cuts after work then hopefully a quiet evening. New episode of ER tonight... looks like a good show. I'm hoping my sister won't call me during it though so I'll be able to watch it through without any interruptions.

Today is my day in the car. Driving golf carpool at 1, then Girl Scout carpool at 3:15 and then 4 taking a load to acting AND Hurricane Ivan, the hurricane that will not die is supposed to be hitting us this afternoon too!!!!!!!! Actually, it's just a tropical storm now with 45 mph winds, but I don't want to drive in that! Afraid it will hit once the boys are already on the course.

Not much on for me today. Work, Survivor. It's my nephew's 7th b-day today so I will drop a card off to him after dinner.

It's only 52 degrees here!!! 8o :happydnc: And it's only September!!! We could use our heater at nights now and last year (or the year before?) we didn't turn it on until almost the end of November and that was only because of ds2! I am sooo lovin' it! :D It does still warm up enough during the day to turn the cooler on, but it's not a 24/7 thing now. Seems appropriate since yesterday was the first day of fall. :)

Grocery shopping today. I'm thinking about seeing if I can get our mail sent to Walmart since we're there more than we're home. :rolleyes: Mom and I are going to talk to the Safeway manager and let him know if they'd be willing to do a price match with Walmart they'd get a lot of converts! It's such a pain to shop there, but the prices are definitely worth it. It gets old trying to find employees who speak English that can help you with what you want and things are really disorganized there.

The kids have dentist appointments tomorrow morning so I'm thinking of giving the girls a day off school. I don't feel like messing with trying to work around the appointment and the drive, etc. They'll be so bummed. :lol:

Melody that's so great that your brother got disability!!! I'm glad to hear too that he's got a new doctor. :)

Afternoon... all.. lolol same old here..lolol
Got the hotpads completed for the church. Did my GD's hat. Finally finished hubbys laundry bag.
Am now working on our blanket for the bed. Am doing the 6 strand for winter. And am NOT making the same mistake as with the other one.. lolol am using the larger hook so it is looser, so that it will feel lighter.. lol

Ya'll all sound fairly busy for sure..
Leigh / Beth, sorry you both were having problems sleeping.

Mel, great that your brother is getting the disability and a new doc.
Ann, do be careful with the rain there. Was watching weather channel and saw that Kemah is flooding, dang.. not good for there.

Diane, did you ever post about your neighbourhood picnic on Sunday? Was it a success?

Not sure if I did or not... LOL It was a HUGE success. Most all of the neighbor's came and some who already had plans couldn't make it. We had a LOT of food... once again I bought way too many hot dogs and buns. :rolleyes: All but a few tablespoons of my baked beans went, so that was good. It was a lot of fun seeing some of the neighbor's we haven't seen in a long time and getting reacquainted and meeting the new ones who have just recently moved in. We've decided to make this an annual event...

The lady who I origionally went to for help with the party came... and totally ignored me... until the rest of the neighbor ladies started helping me bring a bunch of stuff into my house. She started scrambling around looking for something that was mine so she could come in too. :rolleyes: Everyone else thanked me for getting it all put together and for all the hard work... except her. Her dh even came and gave me a big hug and thanked me for everything... 8o Oh well... LOL I think it's kind of hilarious watching her go so out of her way to avoid me. LOL Who knows... :) Anyway... thanks for asking.

Well I think I may be getting to a point at work where the stress level is lowering. I had a Real Meeting with my supervisor about things that need to get organized. She liked my Ideas and I think I'm to the point that I don't need her permission for things. Hopefully it will all smooth out more. But we got alot rolling and we did it all while eating lunch at friendly's...LOL. I explained that I was coming to her because I was not should what I had to run past her and what I could do on my own. So I think that help clear things up.

I think their showing the Aptment next door...That will be cool. It was women looking who was probably in her 40's. That would be cool. The guy who lives there now is strange and lives in Calif. most the year. And the others are elderly.

Evening all! Life has been hectic around here lately. Kids back into school and after school activities. Dh has been basically working three jobs lately, so we don't get to see much of him. :(
We have tomorrow off school, so I plan to make a whirlwind clean up around here....poor house is looking pretty neglected!
First on the agenda is making dd's bday cake....she is 14 tomorrow! She is going to a youth retreat this weekend at the summer camp she attended and is so looking forward to it.
Ds is anxious to get on the field with dh.
Middle dd has plans with one of her girlfriends.
I plan to hit three auction sales this weekend. The weather is forcast to be better than we had all summer, so being outside will be perfect.

You have been busy! Happy early bday to dd. :bday:

I have pretty much been working 3 jobs the last 2 weeks too. UGH! It sucks. I actually turned down a sub job for tomorrow because I have things I want to get done. The $ would be nice, but getting things done is more important to me for tomorrow. Busy day here. Worked both jobs and then had school tonight. Only 2 more classes to do and I'm done. I'm glad I took the class because I learned a lot, but I'll be glad when it's over and I have my nights free again.
