I am carless again. Poor dh's truck keeps breaking down but it's still cheaper to fix it than get a new one, but it's getting into that nuisance stage. Now it's the radiator. Need to get these houses finished!!!! ;)
So, it's home for me all day. No biggie cause my kids finally decided to clean their rooms and there is a mountain of laundry for me to do. Hitting the treadmill too. May do a pilates tape, I am so tight..need to really stretch!!!

Morning...had a second to pop on before I go to work. A beautiful sunny fall day here today. The temperatures are definately getting cooler now.

Working all day today. Tonight a salesperson is coming over to show us samples of carpet for the basement. They are almost done :yippee:. Can't wait till it's actually done!

Ann, too bad about your dh's car. Must be a pain to have to keep giving up yours. So considerate that the kids left you laundry to do  :newwink:

Happy Hump Day!!!

Foggy here today... can't hardly see a thing. Good thing dh can start work whenever he wants to and doesn't have to drive in it.

Busy washing the bedding today... and that's about it. I've got the morning off so I'm going to go to Hallmark to see what I can find. The last couple of times I've been there I haven't been able to find anything I liked. I've got a gift certificate that expires there tomorrow... so I'm hoping this time I'll find something. I guess if I can't I'll pick some/anything up just so I don't let it go to waste. :)

Anyway... I hope you all have a great day!!!

Ann... too bad about dh's car. I hate not having my car... even if I am busy and wasn't planning on going anywhere. LOL

Marla... Good luck picking out carpet.

It's sunny here but was cool this morning. It's supposed to warm up to a whopping 16 degrees! Guess it's time to think about taking all the jackets out of storage before we need them at a last minute some morning.
Grocery store for odds and ends today and then need to get some baking done. Hopefully get the kitchen floor washed too.
It was meet the teachers night at the school last night. It was okay, already know the teachers but it's always good to find out what the year curriculum will be.
Have a nice day all :)

Good morning! Dh had to take the cat to the vet when he got home from work yesterday. Some how she managed to get up on some shelves in the basement and pull out the ice fishing pole that still had a hook on it. Then she managed to get the hook caught in her mouth/lip area. When dh got home she was at the top of the stairs with the fishing line down the stairs and the pole at the bottom. DS said his friend seen the cat when they came in from school and she was fine, so it must have happened in the 20 minutes or so between ds and dh getting home (glad she wasn't like that all day). Well, the vet had to put her out to extract it and it cost us $210 plus. She sure was out of it all last night...funny to watch at times; she looked drunk.

Dinner at Dad's tonight then I want to exchange a sweater at Sears.

Got up early todau because I couldn't sleep any more. I'm still tired though! UGH! I talked to my director yesterday afternoon and she looked dumbfounded when I told her I was resigning. I was nice and told her I was leaving becuase after working there it made me realize how much I missed working at home with kids. And that is true. I just failed to mention that I thought all the employees (including her and excluding the lead teacher) were all a bunch of caddy B!%#&^%. There is other stuff I wanted to say, but I know that I have to work with these people for another month. She asked the lead teacher later if I was "unhappy" working there. The lead teacher just told her that I could make a lot more money staying at home.

Today I have a few errands to run then working at the preschool. I have a girl scout meeting to attend as I'm in charge of the troops fall fundraiser. Dd is still sick. Temp was up to 102.3 yesterday afternoon. She feels fine when she's got medicine in her, but it wears off and she feels bad again. I'm hoping that whatever it is breaks today and she's back to normal again.

Morning! It's my day off, so I've run errands and am getting ready to do more cleaning and drag out the Halloween/Fall decor. I can't believe the 'sistas' will be here in TWO WEEKS!!!

Hey Ann, I saw where Chevrolet is doing 0% financing for 72 months - could dh get a vehicle that way and if he's using it for the business, could he write off a portion of the payment/insurance???

Marla - have fun w/the carpet person. Dh and I have been out and about trying to decide on what to get for the whole house.

JAK - good for you for going back to dc!

Bev - yikes and ow about the cat!!

Diane - when I worked @ Hallmark, we weren't big sticklers about the expiration on the g.c. Hope you find something.

Pam - know you'll be glad to see your dh!! :)

Bev..ouch!!! I am not much of a cat person, but I even thought 'poor kitty'!

JAK...you selling the nuts too? This is our first year, but the troop gets back so much more money than cookies.

Sista....you would get the money back on the tail end but it's still cash out of the pocket.

Teacher in-service day, so oldest ds was out at noon and youngest didn't have to go at all. :) We are heading to an apple orchard where they have TONS of fun stuff to do - looking forward to just spending the afternoon with my boys. :)

Yes we are doing the nuts too. We haven't done it before so I'mnot sure what all they have to sell. I'm glad they get more money than they do with the cookies

Not sure where my mind has been today, but seem to be a day ahead of myself all day.
Took the little ones out this morning and couldn't figure out why dh didn't put the garbage out for collection - it didn't occur to me that no one else had their garbage out either :banghead:
Later started getting ready for our interview at a local nursery school we might put the girls in two days a week - realized; thank heavens before I went there; later that the interview is tomorrow.
Was thinking this afternoon - Survivor tonight.... again a day ahead
:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

dd and ds are at their first Crusaders (a boys and girls Bible club) meeting at church tonight. ds has hockey tomorrow after school, first game this Sat.
He is playing part time left wing/ part time goal this year.

Other than the interview nothing too exciting in the works for tomorrow.
