I have lived in Seattle for about twenty years. Your kids may be older than mine, but I'm basically an old bat, had my first kid at almost thirty five! Hitting the big four-oh in July. You?

I LOVE the Greenlake area. So beautiful there, but really expensive these days!

I'm so glad that you are posting here. Though most of the people here are really wonderful, there seem to be only a couple that I see eye to eye with with many issues (could it be a Northwest thing? I grew up in Oregon.) I have to say, not to be a butt kisser because you tend to agree with my posts, but I love the way you think! You sound very thoughtful regarding your parenting, and I admire that so much.

How old are your kids? Boys? Girls? (I'm assuming you have at least one boy with your circ comment! And though I am in Seattle, we did the snip, snip. I left it up to DH. But truly, within our small community, it is truly a fifty-fifty with the circ/uncirc'd boys! Not so in many communities!)

Anyway, I'm glad to see you posting. And if we ARE twins, damn, you must be a real looker! :)

Yeah and I guess we are too judgmental to be as thoughtful in our parenting styles.

Girls, girls! I SAID you are all wonderful women!!! Must we be so defensive? And Ann, surely YOU must know that you are loved! :)

All I said was, it's nice to have someone to think along the same lines as I do. (C'mon, admit it, everyone likes to have people who support them!) Sometimes I think Coulie is considered a bit of an outsider, and I think she is an asset to "the box" because her views are different. Is that so wrong?! Besides, the thread was addressed to Coulie after all!

Don't mind me, I'm premenstral, it's the end of the year and the kids are dancing on my last nerve. I'm defensive about everything right now.

Geeze... now I'm feeling SO left out too... :bigcry: LOL Amy, I will admit... you definitely have your own style in everything you think, do and say. LOL I'm glad that you found somebody in "the box" that you could relate to. LOL It's almost as if you are one of the same... :)

Diane...

I really don't think Amy and Coulie are one in the same.

I do know there were a "few" on the old board who were really one person. ;) LOL! But I don't think you can register more than once from the same IP on this new board. However, what about the couples who post here? And Diane, didn't you have neighbors and friends who used to post on the old board using your computer? What if they wanted to register here on the new board using your computer?

David...how does that work? Can you register more than once from the same IP?

Nope... I'm not meaning to insinuate that they ARE the same... I only said that it's ALMOST like they were one of the same. :) AMY was saying how much alike her and Coulie are... I was only agreeing with her. :) :)

Yes, I use to let one of the ladies (Alyssa) that I use to do day care for use my comuter once in a while until she totally took advantage of me with it, along with a few of other things... (Another story) :( I have no clue how somebody else would register on the new board here if they were using my computer. I'm not too sure it can be done... but then you must be able to because angie and her dh are so...??? LOL I have no clue... LOL :)

Diane... :)

Oh my gosh...

I have been on here for almost two hours and just when I discover this thread, topic, whatever the heck it is....I amnow running out of time.

amy....still have you beat on the 40 thing. I turned in January.

Kids....14 and 10....cute, talented, obnoxious, spunky at times...and both boys. I'm actaully lovin it now that they are older. We are all good friends.

I know the Greenlake area well. I just don't know how I could figure out if I knew you just because I don't give out much personal info on here. Just a safety thing you know? I love Seattle but I love California more.

anyway, flattered for sure by your post...and Mickey???
yes you are different...and special...and don't you ever forget it. :)
Your posts always crack me up.

and how the heck does anyone have time for all these posts?

I come here once every three or four days. Sometimes I can't even get to the posts. So if you post reply's to me rest assured I will read them and will eventually respond. I just get too busy to spend much time on my "puter"

My dh and I use the same computer. We log in when we get on and log out when we finish.
