Not too much. I got mad and quit the Child Care Food Program that I've been on for over 20 years, so at 1:00 today I have someone coming from a new program to write me up so I can start with them next month. Hopefully I'll have better experiences with them than I have been having with this one.
Picking my mom up in a bit to go to Kohl's. The shoes she bought a month ago are already falling apart so she needs to return them. I've also got to try to get her in for her flu shot... so we'll see if the clinic has any time to do that this morning too. If not... there is always next week. :)
Nothing much else... so, have yourselves a nice day.
Diane...

Seeing as you are already doing massive amounts, do you think you would notice if I added mine too? Can't figure out where it is all coming from

Had to go to the school before the kids this morning and talk to the teacher for ds2. I find out yesterday that two boys in his class he used to be friends with have been bullying him. From what I heard yesterday and last night from other moms, these 2 have gotten out of hand. Ds will get to move to another desk away from these 2 at my request, it is to be done today. He went to the teacher on Monday at recess because one kid was saying he was going to beat him up. There are 2 "yards" and they are not allowed to go into the other grades yard. So ds stood at the imaginary line calling ds1 to come over. Ds1 comes and finds out what is going on and goes for the teacher (in his yard,ds had to wait at the line). Teacher comes and tells ds2 to go and get the kid who is being a bully for him. EXCUSE ME??? I was furious. You don't be so lazy as to tell the child being picked on to get their bully for you! So, after talking to teacher this morn. I go to the principal's office and tell him what happened. He said over the years he has said the same thing to kids. I told him that is the wrong answer to a frightened child. Told him, if I'm being attacked and see the police across the road and they tell me to go and tell the would be rapist to come to their car, how horrified am I going to be to go get the guy for the cops??? He said that was taking it to the extreme but an 8 year old boy is going to be just as scared. Did the boy go to the teacher? NO! Did the teacher follow through when neither child came back (ds gave up after telling the boy a number of times)? Nope! Principal is looking into it, staff meeting tonight so he will check if this is reg. practice (like my kids told me it was). So I see ds at lunch and he said that he's now friends with these boys and is playing with them. Told him he's not allowed to play with them at all, they will bully someone else and he'll get in trouble by association.
Physio tonight. Went to Wal-Mart for milk already. Have a good day all :)

Nothing much going on here. Just woke up!! LOL Up ALL night again. For some reason, the pain meds are keeping me up. That or I get so into the crafts I'm making, I don't feel sleepy. I've been like the mad scientist making Halloween crafts for dd's class and for the bake sale at work tomorrow!
I HAVE to get to bed tonight. Still have to finish the brownies. Got those baked last night, but I've got to decorate the tombstones (nutterbutters dipped in chocolate, then I'll write RIP on them in white icing!). What fun!
What's really going to be fun is tryingn to get all this stuff into the building tomorrow with crutches! I'll probably park in front and take it into the front desk, then have someone meet me downstairs with a cart. Still haven't found out about trick or treat night, need to go do that now!
Melody, I think you're perfectly right for feeling the way you do and for going to the principal. And you're not overreacting, IMHO. Your analogy was a very good one, yes, there's a difference b/t a rapist and a bully, but to a child, a bully is just as terrifying as a rapist is to a woman. I would definitely not back down! Good luck, I hope it works out. And good for you about telling ds he can't play with those boys just b/c they've suddenly friends again. Geez, what we get to look forward to with school!!!

Amy,
Take pics of the stuff you make so I can post it on IB! Especially the tombstones - sounds cute!!
Thanks,

Add mine too. She might notice though. My ironing pile is a good 4 feet tall. Add to that, my vacuum pooped on me, so my carpets are a mess.
