I can't believe how fast the weekend goes. Before you blink your eyes, it's time to get up for work/school on Monday.

Really gray and gloomy out today...don't want to say the word, but it actually looks like it might sn_w :frosty: . Thankfully it's not cold enough for it yet .

Kids have homework to do this morning. Oldest ds has guitar lessons (which he loves).

Still working on putting stuff back into the house from the garage now that the basement is done. This is taking forever...oh yeah, maybe cuz I have to do it all by myself

Dh is taking oldest ds to a basketball game this afternoon, while I will be taking youngest ds to his hockey game.

Somewhere in there, I have to fit in laundry too

Me time...don't think it is happening today.

Sunday...hope you enjoy yours!

Ds has a project due tomorrow and not nearly enough is done so I guess that's what we are doing today. He needs to make a model of the lungs, doesn't have to work, just look like them. I can only think of salt dough but it takes forever to dry. We were going to make it Friday but of course it couldn't be done. I think he should make a couple models in case one cracks in the oven. I don't know of any other kind of dough that would dry quicker. ?
Glad to be home, ds3 was sooo busy while we were gone, it was hard to keep him quiet during the masses and I had to let him walk the halls after a while yesterday to burn off some energy. A beautiful tribute though, some of those nuns can really belt it out when they sing. Birthday party last night for nephew and dinner with his parents. What a crazy weekend and I can't believe it's only Sunday.
Hope you all have a good day. Wish me luck with the salt dough!! lol

Mel, my friend's daughter had to make the lung project last year.... I should ask her to see what she used. Why don't you try using model magic instead? It air dries in 24 hours.

Karla, as much as I would love to sneak a little me time in...I don't think it's going to happen. How does the paint look? What colour did you do?

Went with some friends and their kids to see "The Incredibles" last night. Anyone else see it yet?

yesterday was interesting. had dd's play. wasn't really very good, lots of missed lines and very few kids were 'acting'. DD really shown though.
after the play we get home to police all over our street. seems some teenagers were driving erratically and one of my neighbors hollered at them (like we all do when the kids are speeding) the guy decides to take off and ends up crashing into a mail truck at the house next to ours! the mailman would have been in the back of the truck if he hadn't had to come back to our house to give us some magazines!!! another neighbor ends up driving past where the kids had dumped the car, calls the police they find him, bring him back to our street, he is handcuffed in the back of the cruiser, cussing and trying to tear it up, they pull him out of the car, slam him to the ground and hog tie him!!!!! then take him to the police station.
ok, so excitement over. dh and i go to this birthday party for some old friends of the family. they have about 45 acres on the bayou that they are redeveloping into a high rise project. their new home is the model home right now, i am outside on this huge patio walking down to the gazebo and all the sudden i am down on my knees. there was a drop off that you couldn't see and i fell, hit the banister, my knees, my arm, my wine glass shatters everywhere. people are all around me, i hear talking but i must not have been responding cause everyone is asking me if i am ok!! i finally sort of get it together. evidentally others had tripped over this spot, but i was the only one to go flying!!! they ended up blocking off the walk way so it wouldn't happen again. we stay for maybe an hour more. i wake up this am, my knees are swollen and bruised. on my arm is a small cut and huge bruise and swelling where i hit the banister!! i am sore!!!!!!!!!
we were all joking cause the host is worth mega bucks that my kids' college was now paid for!!
DD's theater group the older kids are performing "you're a good man, Charlie brown" today, so we are going to see that. tonite is dd's last performance of Charlotte.

Morning all! Not a whole lot planned here today. It is sort of cold out right now, but at least the sun is shining.

Our friend from Atlanta came down for a visit Friday, and he left early this morning to go back.

I got a little Christmas shopping done yesterday, so I am happy about that.

I need to work on getting the camper cleaned before I loose the motivation to do it. I don't know if I have mentioned it, but my uncle gave it to us for dh to use in the woods. It had set for like 5 years though, so it is really nasty inside and out. We had to strip all the cloth stuff from inside, and now I am working on cleaning the floor and counters. We are also trying to find a new mattress to go in it, and new couch cushions.

Anyways, enough rambling. Have a great day all!

Ann- I hope you feel better soon.

I'm not too sure what the rest of the day will bring, but I've been to Mass, taught my class, and had several cups of coffee. The house is relatively peaceful. I'd like to go shopping, but it seems a shame to leave the calm.

AnnW--OUCH. That sounds painful. Hope it only requires being waited uopn (hand and foot) for a week. Of course, you will probably need assistance with housework for longer, if you showcase the bruises carefully. LOL I hope you feel better fast.

Ann, it sounds like you've had way to much excitement lately.

This calls for some pampering from dh today. Feel better

Ann - Ouch - hope you are feeling better soon.

Not a very eventful day around here. dd working on a book report, ds is playing street hockey with some neighbourhood kids (of course, where else would he be) girls and dh are napping. We are all going out for dinner later to celebrate the girls birthday. ( Swiss Chalet - their favourite)

Our family may be growing in more ways than one. Last night we found a litter of pups under our back porch, the mother had died. Two of the five pups were also dead. The other three were weak but seem to be picking up a bit today. dh is guessing they might be about 3 -4 weeks old. The clinic does not open until Monday unless it's an emergency but dh talked to the vetrinarian and they told him what to do to take care of them. He will take them in to be checked over tomorrow. The kids are determined that we are keeping them. I'm not so sure, maybe one. If we still had the farm, I would say go for it, but living in a town house three is a little much.

Bummer! Did you survive the day??

It's a taupey (sp? LOL) color and I love it! :)

How was the movie? We haven't seen it yet.

The taupe probably looks great.

The movie was okay .... I think it was too long though
