I'm getting my days confused again. I meant to go to bed early last night, but actually stayed up late again. The kids and I rearranged my dc area and the dining room. You should have seen the 3 of us moving the dining room table! It was entertaining. We managed to get it all done and they were even in bed on time. I think the new set up will work better because now the dckids have more room. Dh is gone to school for a few weeks so he wasn't here to help.

Interview went well with the little girl yesterday she was here for 2 hours with her mom so I got to see her interact with my dckids but also with her mom. She seems like a sweet little girl. She started to throw a fit one time and I ignored her- her mom said something to her and I said to her mom "at my house that behavior will be ignored" so the mom stopped talking to her. Wouldn't you know she got up off the floor and came over to where I was in a matter of seconds. I know it was probably a fluke thing, but I do plan on ignoring her tantrums. I told her mom and communication will be very important between us if she wants her child to be in my care, that I want to give her a chance to see if things work. She's coming today-Friday starting with 2 hours today and building up to 5 hours on Friday. I am on vacation all next week and then she will start full time on the 29th. I have the time to give her plenty of one on one attention as I don't have many kinds in care and I'm hoping that it works. She's also set up for a speech evluation sp? and I know the speech lady for working at the preschool and she's a great lady.

Well, that's my day. Going to try and get to bed before 10 tonight... wish me luck!

I have ds2 home today. He was complaining of a sore stomach. Not sure just how sick he is but kept him home thinking it's better than having the school call me in an hour or him suffering through the day. I didn't think he was sick enough to stay home once last year and got a call to pick him up! I felt terrible but sometimes it's hard to tell so now, better safe than sorry.
Took ds3 to the doctor yesterday. He is now taking an antibiotic because he does have an infection brewing somewhere. Also got him his flu shot. Ds1 coughed so much after going to bed that I moved him to the couch so he could be propped up and that worked, coughing stopped after a while.
Dh is bringing home a big screen t.v today. His brother bought a new one and is giving us the one he had, works well as far as I know. Until the rec-room is done over it's going into ds1's bedroom since there is no where else to put it. Ds is thrilled at this but does realize it's not going to last. :biglaugh:
Vaccuming the stairs and cleaning the bathroom. Kitchen floor needs to be washed too. It's sunny and going up to 9 or 10 today so I hope I can get out this afternoon to enjoy some of it.
Have a good day all :)
Jen, good luck. I hope it works out with the new little girl.

It's muggy, cloudy and damp here and everyone's mood matches the foul weather!
Got to find ds' social security card for his driving permit. hoping it's at the bank cause it's not here where i thought it was.

JAK - Hope all goes well with the little girl, sounds like your just the person she needs.
Melody - hope everyone in your house gets well soon

Trying very hard to shake a not so good mood this morning, I have a very tempermental gymnast who I have been coaching for 5 years and last night her mother phoned to inform me of how I hate her child and all the things I do wrong. I go out of my way in so many situations for this child and everything always comes down to my fault!! I'm really tired of it, and don't know what to do anymore. We go thru this every year, they threaten to quit, but don't. They went to a city club for a few months one year and realized things were a lot better with me, but they still like to complain.
Sorry for the vent.

I'm sure my mood will change once i get into my preschool class this morning, a few hugs and smiles and I'll be good as new, and after a couple of hours with dgd life should be good again.

Feeling in a blah mood myself today..It is cold and grey out too..

DS#2 turned 7 yesterday so we had his party with the family last night. He got very spoiled again, as always..But we all had a good time. I enjoy having my family over..MIL/FIL and BIL just that there and hardly talked to my family at all. Then BIL left as soon as DS#2 opened his presents, didnt even stay for the cake. MIL kept looking over at me and my Mom last night then would whisper something to DH...

I always feel that I cant do good enough for MIL or FIL..

Anyway, not to much else is new here. I started looking after another friends little girl, she is so good and it is nice tohave a "girl " in the house for a change.lol And it is only for about 4 hours a day, not to bad. I work tonight
and tomorrow night. I have be getting lots of hours which is great and the we are going to start staying open till 11 on Dec 4th for Christmas. Should be fun..

Well thats about it for now. I am trying to get into the mood to do some cleaning, but just cant.

Hope you all haev a good day.
