It's sunny and cold here. I was planning to stay home but since they are calling for a winter storm tonight and the roads will be bad tomorrow, I had better get out today. Need a few groceries and have to run to the post office. Took me forever to find jeans that fit yesterday, I went to all these stores that are supposed to have great jeans and nothing fit well. Did eventually find two pair in a store I didn't know had jeans. Dh surprised me by phoning me from in the mall to meet for lunch. :)
I guess tonight I will have to dig out the winter boots and see what the kids need. I'm ready for summer! lol

I'm tired again! I need to start going to bed earlier so I don't feel this way in the morning.
Today is ds's 9th birthday! We celebrated at both sets of parent's houses when we were in San Diego so he didn't want a party. I ordered him a cake like he wanted and we need to pick that up tonight when I get off work. Need to turn in dc paperwork and the lady that I mentoring wants me to help her get some of the stuff she needs to get her dc set up. We have a lending library where you can borrow just about every toy you can imagine and even furniture for dc. So the dks and I are going to help her out. Then I guess I'll try to get to bed before 11:30.

Mel- no winter storms here, but the low is in the low 30's (F) here and it's reminding me of AK. I just wish there was some snow on the ground. The bad part is that I don't have a winter coat in the house! It's in our trailer and dh has the key to get in it with him and he won't be home until a few days before Christmas. :rolleyes: I guess I'll have to wear his coat.

morning. goofy damn weather here. yesterday at this time it was 75, today it's 43!!!!!! supposed to get down to freezing in the north part of the city. raining it's little butt off now. good day to stay in. got the outside done yesterday. gonna workout, do laundry and wrap presents today (got a ton hidden and afraid they will be found! LOL)

DH got the last of the outdoor lights up after work yesteday. It looks cute, but I miss the garland (decided to forgoe it this year). We'll decorate the inside this weekend. Dinner at Dad's tonight (he wants pizza, yah!!!), then my volunteer shift.

Think I'm just staying in and doing paper work and phone calls. It's chill and cloudy out so I have no desire to go out. Need to get some lights for my tree. I found a 3 ft at walgreens yesterday for $10....No room for a biger one this year. Can't wait to get started decorating.

It's cooler here, too. The high is supposed to be 58 today, and the low below freezing. I have an appointment at noon to talk with Andrew's occupational therapist to find out the results of the testing she did for his IEP meeting. She couldn't come to the meeting, so we're meeting one on one today. Not quite sure what to expect from that.

The girls are at each other's throats this morning and I'm at wits end. It's one of those days where I'd love to declare a day off from school, but it wouldn't help anything in the long run. Hopefully things will straighten out soon and they'll be done with schoolwork!

I'm hoping to get some online shopping and some cleaning done today but other than that don't have much planned. Maybe a nap! Nap sounds good. Seems like the nights are really short lately. I should go to bed earlier, but it's so nice and quiet and peaceful once the kids go to bed! :lol:

I'm so sick of this RAIN!!!!!! It's in the low 40's to boot with quite a bit of wind. In other words it's colder than &*#@.

Dh will not be putting lights on the roof this year. He's still having trouble with his foot he hurt while playing softball the the 20's & 30's from church. He's been in and out of a walking cast. Going back to the doctor tomorrow. That and the fact he's been home for a month is driving me crazy. I don't think I could take him taking early retirement. Job market close to home doesn't look too promising.

Well, I really should get ready for my kids to get back from computer lab.

It was only 18 degree's when I woke up this morning... burrrr!! It only got up to 34, so it stayed cold all day. At least the sun was out and it looked nice.

I got my kitchen cabinets and pantry cleaned out and reorganized. I dumped out the oil from my deep fryer and got that cleaned out and with some new oil. Dd #3 had to take her ferret (pick-wit) in for his checkup... keeping my finger's crossed that he's okay. I have a feeling they'll at least be putting him on a diet... LOL I never realized what fun a little ferret can/could be. :)

We haven't done any decorating for Christmas yet. I just can't seem to "get in the mood"... I'm not even in the mood to put up the Christmas tree. I think I better get my Christmas tape out and start listening to some Christmas music... maybe that will do it.

Anyway... hope you all had a good day.

I am feeling exactly the same way! I usually can't wait to decorate...but having trouble getting started this year! Maybe this weekend... :rolleyes:
