I would appreciate knowing also ... They seem to nice for one person to use. But am not sure about purchasing one. Since I know no one who has one either.
hope to hear something soon too... from whomever mite have one.

LOL....I had to laugh at this because I feel like we have discussed this topic many times before...I remember the people who had them loved them...the ones who had imitation formans were split about whether they liked them or not....I wonder if we could search for the old thread?
I have a GE one with removeable grill plates and I love it. I have had it for over 3 years now. I have asked for the new George Foreman gill with the removeable grill plates that are dishwasher safe for Christmas this year. The teflon coating on my GE one has started coming off in some spots.

I never said my opinion....lol..my dad had an imitation one that had drip holes in the middle of the grill plates and they got all clogged up every time you uses it... and they were not removable...I hated that thing...I refused to use it.

I have one and have mixed feelings. I have had it for a few years now, and the teflon is coming off. I don't have a temp control on mine...it just heats up for 5 min then you use it. Works great for a one time cook, but if I have to use it again right away (too many hamburger patties to cook all at one for instance) I find it gets too hot and then just scorches the food.
But, I do love how it cooks the meat! Pork chops cooked on it are great! I use mine probably 1/week.
Oh, mine is a George Forman large size. The removable grills sound like a great concept. Wish mine had that.

I love  my George Foreman. I have the double one with the bun warmer on top.
It has two separate temperature controls, so you can heat each side to a different temperature.
Although the grills are not removeable, they are teflon coated, so clean up is a breeze.

Okay, since you're preggers, we'll give you the short term memory loss thing... don't you remember the big joke when I got mine for Christmas a few years ago... I was always talking about heatin' things up in the kitchen with George?!! And if I remember correctly, Ann told me I reeeeeeeeally needed to get laid!
I still use mine. It's awesome with bacon, and I like to do veggies on it, too. I slice red potatoes, spray some butter flavored cooking spray on both sides, then sprinkle with seasonings (usually onion and garlic powder) and cook. They take no time to do. Also LOVE zucchini by George!! LOL

Amy - LOL! Yep, the memory has been a HUGE issue this time around! :biglaugh: I do remember you loving yours, so I guess I should have just asked if you were still in love with it. ;)
Thanks for all of the input gals ~ think I'm going to add it to my holiday wish list! :thumb:

I was looking at them last year and didn't get one. I'd love to get the one with the removable grill plate, sounds like a much easier clean up. I think the only thing I don't like about them is that they're teflon coated. I just got rid of all my old pots/pans that "use" to be teflon coated... 8o 8o 8o so I'm reluctant to buy anything else that is. We'll see... :) Good luck with your decision Karla. :)
