Kids got off to school late. We all slept in, wonder why! lol Ds3 is still sleeping in my bed so I'm heading back there in a few minutes. He's doing better but still coughing a lot. Kids were so happy to have me home and dh was more than thrilled. Now he wants to take the kids to the Falls next summer. I would love to take them to Marine Land while there.
It's so cold here. The rest of the week is supposed to warm up so I am not going anywhere today if it can wait until a warmer day. I have a little bit of cleaning to catch up on. That's my day, not much. lol
Ann, have a good flight home today!
Have a nice day all :)
Getting ready to put some pumpkin bread in the oven for breakfast. Soon the house will smell so good! I love the smell of things baking. All of my dck's will be back today so I'll have 3 all day and one coming at lunch. I still don't have a routine when it comes to a lot of things and it's killing me to wake up so ealry in the morning. My goal is to be in bed no later than 10 PM so that it won't be so hard to wake up. Didn't get as much done as I wanted to last night. While cleaning out the hamsters cages, ds's broke to the point I couldn't get it back together. Off to Walmart we went. An hour and a half later we were home and the new one was such a pain to put together. I hope that it will at least stay together until Saturday when I can get to the pet store and buy a good one. Then I'll return the piece of junk to Walmart.
No plans for tonight except for filing some paperwork.
Ann, hope you have a good flight home!
Slept pretty good last night. Got the tree up and decorated yesterday after getting home from the Falls.
I slept like a rock last night! There was no snoring!! LOL ;) I am still dragging today, yet there is major food shopping to be done.
I just got Ann off to the airport. We went to a wine tasting at a winerie last night called Casa Larga and don't think Ann wasn't in her own private heaven!! LOL We ended the night with Home Depot (We had to map out my new kitchen) and watching that tv movie "5 people you meet in heaven". I have it taped because we konked out at 9:30pm!
Have a good day all!

Today is the designated "Christmas shopping with dh" day. He has thought of several things so far that he HAS to do first. We'll see if any shopping gets done. I have a pretty good grip on what I need to get for my dds and my family, and I have picked up a few things for all the kids.
Today is also my last day as an unemployed/please-get-me-out-of-this-house-I'm-losing-my-mind person. Tomorrow I start my new job. The hours are 9-4:30, it's part-time in the summer, and I get all the same days off as the schools. Plus it's what I've done before, and I like it. I know there'll be lots of new stuff and new people, and I'm looking forward to it. The director said if I wanted to start this week, that I'd get paid for Christmas vacation--or I could start after the first of the year. I figure why not work for a while and get a feel for it, then take 10 days off?! :)
Hope you all have a wonderful St. Nicholas Day!!

I'm slow moving again...but I feel some what energized. I slept from 11 last night to 11 this morning...which felt great because I did not sleep all weekend.
I love that movie" The five people you meet in heaven" But I was annoyed cause the phone kept ringing and I missed some detail. I hear the book is Great!
Nothing planned except the allergist...Supposed to snow/rain ....nothing yet so that's good.
Have a great day!

Cathy, glad you start tomorrow. :)
Vea, I saw some of the movie but missed the beginning and the end. It looked good, I was waiting to see it for so long. I heard about the book too.
Dh called and said the van we were looking at already sold and he found a few others at another dealers so we are going later with the kids to take a look. Need to get something soon, mine is getting rough.
Jen, I never heard of pumpkin bread. Is it made with the canned pumpkin stuff like you would use for pies?

Just came home from work.
Had a big dumping of snow today :frosty: the roads were a mess!
Glad to hear that everyone made it home safely from the Falls before the snow came
Have to face the white stuff again in 15 minutes as youngest ds has a party to go to

Evening all. Just got back from my walk. I find it very relaxing to go just me and Monty. A little harder to walk today cause we got dumped with snow yesterday! :yippee: It looks pretty out now....at least more Christmasy than before.
Plan on finishing up the ornaments tonight. Had to give my fingers a break...working with that wire is hard!

We don't celebrate, but I think it's one of those times when I wish I was German. My sister and her family lived in Germany, and it is just the neatest holiday. I think MaryL (??) has commented on it before.
Thanks for the good wishes, Mel, Darlene and Marla. I'm pretty psyched!!
