View Full Version : Anyone have contacts in San Diego?
I have been on a manhunt for my Sister's real father for whom she has never met. We found him in San Diego, but his phone was disconnected in Dec. aarrgh!! I need someone with a phonebook who can maybe find his address. All online info. only showed his zipcode. I need to help her find closure. Does anyone you know like to be a partner in the Amy Sleuth agency? LOL

Don't libraries have copies of phone books from all major cities???
Maybe main libraries do but I don't thnk all of them (especially in Pueblo). I have contacted the San Diego Central on, but getting library info takes forever. It took me 8 days just to get an obituary from them! And they cahrged me $9.00! I was just hoping to get instant feedback. LOL

Wish I could help! I love playing detective!! Hope you find someone who can help!!!
I could probably help. My parents, in-laws- and almost my entire family live in San Diego. Let me know what you need me to do.
Thanks Jen! My e-mail addy is ASW@ideabox.com. I promise it wouldn't take more than five minutes of their time!
Amy,
I e-mailed you. Let me know if it worked!

Whoopsie! I forgot to activate it after all this time! ROFL!!
His name is Seldon George Potter. I just need an address. Thanks!
Amy,
No luck. I got a phone number, I'm assuming that it's the same number that you had. But his address was not listed in the phone book. E-mail me and I'll give you the phone number just to be sure. JAK@ideabox.com

Thanks Jen! But Im positive its the same number. I called the local telephone company and the one you see in the phone book is the last one he had. We are thinking he is prob. in a nursing home or living with relatives. I called about 15 Potters in San Diego and none know of him. this man had 4 sons! Someone has to know him.. eventually. Thank you again Jen for having your family check this out. I appreciate it!

I have another idea. Every State has a site for finding out about unclaimed money and property, for example, interest from an old savings account or refunds from utilities :) HA! Each state holds this stuff for years.
I found all kinds of money belonging to various reatives that I had lost touch with. The site listed current info on some of them and I picked up the contact.
Anyway, look his name up. I wish I knew the one for Ca. to give you but it's easy enough to find. Just go to your fav. search engine and type in " California State uncalimed property." Hope it works. I will also go see if I can find the actual website for you.

Just put dh's snooty cousin back on the plane for San Diego yesterday. I can ask them to have a look for you. She talks like she knows everyone and their dog.
