I think we should start a contest on who can start the daily thread first - at the rate I'm going with not sleeping I think my chances of winning are pretty good! :newwink:  Have had some struggles with my sister lately and think that's weighing on my mind too much. :\
Dh has a mtg before school, so I am taking oldest ds to school for the first time this year. 8o Hoping to get some groceries with youngest ds so we can start some holiday baking....I am dying to try some of the new recipes posted here. :licklips:  Dh has a bball game and I'm not sure yet if dks and I will go or if we'll just hang out. We went on a school night last week and oldest ds was sort of crabby (tired) the next day, so we'll see. :)
Sorry to hear that you are having troubles with your sis, Karla.
I am up at 5 for no reason....grrr.
Seeing an endocrinologist today, think my thyroid is off. Might do the last of my Christmas shopping or might take a nap! LOL

Got called into work so as soon as the dd's are ready im off to the infant room. I got most of my Christmas shopping done Saturday. I have to find time this week to at least buy the stuff to make cookies and cheesecake (thats my gift for all the adults in my family!) I have the office party this week and I have a inservice training. Love weeks like this and lately this has been my life. Oh well I get a week off after christmas. Hope ya all have a wonderful day!
Up and moving very slow this morning. I am going to bed early tonight! Stayed up watching Survivor and the reunion show after. Didn't get to bed until 11:30. UGH! I have a 9 yr old boy here from 7-4:30 for the next 4 days. He's here on Christmas vacation for 3 weeks visiting his mom. I feel bad for him because school doesn't get out here for break until next Monday. At least his stepdad was able to take leave for the rest of the time he's here. I sure hope I can find something to entertain him all day or he's going to get bored real fast with the young ones that I have all day.
Bed early, that's my only plan. Think I'll make more cookies so that ds can take them to his school party. Maybe the 9 yr old and I can do that today at nap time. (Hopefully the boy likes to bake.)
I Have had some struggles with my sister lately and think that's weighing on my mind too much. :\
Hope you two get things worked out soon.

Got the tree up last night and the lights, kids will decorate it tonight.
Ds3 is still in bed sleeping, his asthma was giving him an awful time last night so he's still pretty tired. hopefully he's not going to get sick again but it almost seems that way. :\
Going to try and get some more Christmas stuff out of the crawl space today, if ds is content or naps. More snow last night, it's so pretty but I'm done with it. LOL
Good luck at the endocrinologist today, Ann.
Karla, I hope your sis troubles work out soon.
Stasee and Jak, enjoy your baking :)
Have a good day all :)
Good morning! Spent all of yesterday afternoon with dh's family for Christmas. Good time, but was glad we skipped brunch for hockey, lol. Got a new couch on Saturday night so we didn't have to sit on the floor to watch all three hours of Survivor last night. DH said that his mom thanked his nephew and his brother on Saturday for delivering the sectional, then after a pause thanked him too, almost as if she was just thanking him for delivering our sectional to her but not for giving it to her. Then learned from SIL yesterday that she wished she knew we were looking to get rid of it because she just moved from her matrimonial home and she didn't have furniture. I'd rather she had it than MIL because at least she had a need for it. You'd think MIL would have mentioned her dd had no furniture.

Having a really hard time moving today....Sitting here thinking about taking my meds but if I'm not up and moving they'll put me back to sleep. Suppost to start cutting them down anyway...LOL.
Going to do some shopping on line today and ship to my brothers kids in VT. Which will make life easier.
Well hope you all have a great Day!
Is it nap time yet? :D I've been up for almost three hours and I'm still soooo sleepy! It seems like a busy day, but thankfully nothing huge is going on. Just need to run to the post office and the bank, then pick up a class gift for ds for Friday. This afternoon I pick ds up from school because he's bringing the class mice home for a couple of days! I suspect I may have a multiple personality disorder because it sure as heck wasn't me that told the teacher he could bring them home! :nervous:
Need to clean out the laundry room then do laundry. All of the Christmas boxes seem to have gotten thrown in there and I can barely get to my washer!

Good evening! Long day at work, but I like it, and the people have been very nice. Dd1 called and said she's coming home Saturday morning instead of Sunday night. I'm excited to have her home. She sounds really stressed, but hey--that's what finals are all about. She's young, she'll adjust. LOL
Still have no tree, and quite honestly, not a lot of inspiration to go get one. But maybe it'll come.
Mel--How do you like the infant room? That takes a special gift. I definitely don't have it. I love the 3-5's though.
All you sleepy people---go to bed early, so you can post more tomorrow. The board is a little thin.......LOL
Jen-I bet your 9yo loves to bake. Good idea!

Did ya mean stasee??? I love the infant room. They asked me today if I would like to be head teacher in there after the first of the year and I said YES of course. I am looking forward to it right now I am in the toddler room and I love that as well. I am the opposite of you I have a harder time in the 3 and 4's rooms. They need more constant attention and are way more active!

I love the infant room too! I just love to love on other people's babies and then send them home at the end of the day.
Good luck on your new job, Stasee.

I'd much rather have 3 and 4 year olds than infants. (except my granddaughter) Most of the infants I've ever had in my day care have been criers... and that's something I can't stand to listen to. I'd much rather listen to kids giggeling and laughing and running around having fun, than a crying baby. LOL I'm suppose to be starting a full time infant at the end of January and am already rethinking my decision. LOL We'll see...
Congratulatioins on your promotion Stacee...
Diane...
