I got a call from our old neighbor tonight inviting us over to their new house on Sunday. When they lived here we always exchanged Christmas gifts. I don't know whether they still plan on it or not, but I'd still like to bring them something... (Housewarming/Christmas gift) They are not drinkers so bringing a bottle of wine is out. Any idea's/suggestions? Thanks...

Chocolates are always good, there are plenty of nicely boxed ones at this time of year. I've also noticed lots of lovely hampers of various kinds in the shops, from fairly inexpensive and up to cater for how much you want to spend. You could give them a nice potted plant. Every time they looked at it they'd think of you. Hope this helps.

I think a house warming gift would definitely be in order. How about a poinsettia or amarylis? Some tea towels, coasters or perhaps some candles?

I'm with Ann, make the C-mas gift a housewarming gift that looks like a C-mas gift!!!!
Some other ideas are a gift card for a home store (my personal fave when I bought my house!) or a pre-package gift (Target) that has stuff they'll be able to use at other times beside Christmas. If the new house has more room than the previous house, go for towels for the guest bath or lotion/soap they can put out for guests. I personally prefer common sense gifts, so maybe think of things you'd buy if you bought a new house, I'm sure you can come up with tons of things you'd need. Even a basket of variouscleaning supplies would be a good idea!!! Good luck!

Right after Christmas they will be leaving for Arizona for the winter, so I don't really want to buy them any kind of a plant. I don't know what their colors are so am afraid to buy them any kind of towels... unless I buy in a neutral color. Still not sure, but thanks for all of the great idea's. I really appreciate all your help!!!

I was just at Bath and Body Works yesterday. I was looking for a 'token' gift too. They had a really nice, silver plated candle snuffer for $6. (I have a sterling silver one that isn't this nice looking as this one is!) and a Christmas tree candle for $6. I am going to wrap these two together. Why not do something like that?

How about a nice Yankee Candle? I didn't like being stuck with one scent that lasted forever, so I got a tart burner. They have ADORABLE ones in the yankee candle stores and you can buy a lot of scents that last between 4-6 burning times.

Another gift that is awesome if they are tea drinkers is:

I bought dh this last year and he said it was his favorite gift he has ever received and he uses it daily! Nothing like loose leaf tea and the pot is EXTREMELY easy to use and clean. They send the tea either Fed-Ex or priority, so you get it in plenty of time for only $3.75 in shipping!

I'm going to look around while I'm doing my shopping tomorrow to see what I can find. Thank you all for your wonderful idea's.
