As ya'll know we are going to Colorado this summer...well ds is a budding geologist and super into rocks and minerals. I am so excited cause I found a site that has rock hounding maps where we can chisel our own rocks and mineral right out of the ground!!!! He is so pumped..I am too. I can't wait for school to be out...I am so tired of the rat race!

Will your dh give up a night with you so we can go out on the town???

Im glad you found some rock places. Any close to Colorado Springs?

Im excited about my second vacation too. It gives me two vacations to look forward too! FYI, Im going into the mountains to a YMCA camp that has activities galore. We rented a 2 bedroom cabin and can even bring the dog! :happydnc:

How far exactly from us will are you??? Need to sleep on our floor?
The rock hounding places are in Salida..south of CS on the way home..we are also going to the White Sand Dunes National Park too

Your cabin sounds great!!

Are you taking Rte. 25 up to the Springs????

I will be approximately 1 hour away from you. I couldn't stay overnight. I don't think my 15 yr old babysitter could handle that much responsibility! LOL

I think you do come up I-25. That is too cool!! Once you hit Northern Pueblo, you will be 5 min. from my house!
