When I got back to the daycare today, after having 2 snow days at home, the walls were decorated with children's self-made greeting cards, signs and a donation jar for tsunami victims. One of the mom's had mentioned it to a co-worker (who lives close to the preschool/daycare) and the co-worker mentioned that she should call CNN about it.

Anyway, these kids are so excited about making these cards to sell and raising money for these victims. I'd really like to find a way to help them but I don't think they could seriously sell them. Ebay crossed my mind, but maybe that'd be a dumb idea. Any suggestions you guys have?? I really want these kids to feel that their efforts are worthwhile.

How wonderful!!!!!!!!! I would call your local tv station or newspaper. As to 'seriously' selling them because they are high quality, probably not, but I bet people would buy them because of the sentiment behind them. Heck, my dd and her friend made $80 carloing for charity in our neighborhood.

The more people who know why the kids made them the better. I'm sure they will sell if people know the money goes to relief efforts. Good luck. :)

Yep, I also think if people knew why the children made them, they would buy them. What about either getting some other preschools involved and set up at the mall, that'd be a great way to get lots of people to see them. That's such a beautiful sentiment! Good luck!

That is so sweet! No new ideas here, but hope they make loads of money.
