Watched that survivor special last night and they showed both Colby and Tina and Mr Tina on motorcycles without wearing any headgear. Isn't that illegal??? Not to mention setting a TERRIBLE example for all the kids looking up to those two.
In NY it is illegal, but in Colorado it IS legal. Harley Davidson people love Colorado because they finally can ride the Hog free! LOL

I know that Indiana has not required motorcycle helmets for quite a long time. Then last year, here in Kentucky, they stupidly passed a law saying they were not required, but they have a few stipulations -- I don't know what they are because I don't own a motorcycle, and if I did, I would certainly wear a helmet.
On another note, a seat belt law was passed here in Kentucky requiring them, but it was considered a secondary offense -- you could only be ticketed for not wearing one if you were pulled over for something else. I think that has since changed, but again, don't know for sure because we already automatically buckle up!!!!

Actually in Indiana it is the law to wear a helmet if you are under the age of 18. We also just passed a law that you can be pulled over if they don't see your seatbelt on. All trucks are excluded from seatbelt laws.
They probably had Colby, Tina without helmets so they could have good shots of their faces.
No helmet law in Arkansas. Not sure about kids under a certain age, but surely they must wear one.

I guess because we always wear our seatbelts I just cannot imagine anyone NOT doing so -- my son even reminds me if I haven't helped him buckle up.
