It's technically still Friday, but I know how slowly I type. I'm sure it'll be Saturday by the time I push submit! LOL Dd3 has a friend/date over to watch a movie. It never sounds like a big thing to agree to, but I'm sooooo tired. I hope it ends soon. Dh has already deserted me, and I hear the call of my warm bed and a few pages of my book. Gosh, that's loud!
I think it must almost be time. How many movies run a full 2 hours anymore? They are watching Troy (?). I was invited to watch, but I don't feel the patience for a movie, so I've been submitting rebates, playing some Spider, and job searching (just for fun!).
Tomorrow, I think we're going to order the bedroom furniture that we've been looking at forever. We just need to pick a mattress set. The only problem is that dh has been having a lot of trouble with his back, and he hurts when he tries out the beds. He says they all feel awful. I may just convince him to hold off until he feels better. I don't want to get something that won't make him comfortable. (As for me, I never met a bed I couldn't sleep in!) We'll have to see how it goes tomorrow.
Have a good night all.

Happy Saturday... even though it's still Friday here. :) I still have tons to do before I go to bed. I didn't get all that I needed/wanted to get done because I spent so much time having fun with Sarah. :) It doesn't happen every day and the housework wasn't going to go anywhere so... what the heck.

Picking my mom up and taking her to Wal Mart. Kind of made me mad when my sister told me that my mom had been complaining because I hadn't had her out the past two weekends. Ugh... It's not like I hadn't taken her everywhere she NEEDED to go... but because it wasn't done on a Saturday it didn't count. Ugh... I told my ds that she was welcome to come down and help a little, but I don't think she heard me. LOL

It's suppose to get close to 60, so hoping to get outside and enjoy some of the nice weather. I can't believe how nice it's been. I saw lots of people wearing short sleeves and no jackets... 8o and even a few in shorts. Unbelievable!

Hope you all have a great day. Take care...

Diane...

The darn website says it runs 2 hours and 42 minutes. That's only an hour less than Gone With the Wind!!!! Maybe I should have a little snack, or do some cleaning...............The things we moms endure!!!! LOL

(All so they can roll their eyes at us and tell us how much we don't understand! )

I'm just getting ready to head to bed (it's not even 10 pm my time Friday night yet). Ran errands to night and went out for dinner. Have to get up in the morning and wrap a b-day gift for a part that ds is going to. I have a dc class all day that I'm looking forward to. I just hope I don't get lost on the drive there. I've never been to this town before. Have a great Saturday all.

Cathy, Diane, and Jen I hope you all had a good night sleep.

It's 8:00 in the morning here...I was fast asleep as you guys were typing your posts.

Updates....my dh is booked into a scuba diving course this weekend. He is going with 3 of his friends. Long days, won't see him until 6:30 tonight (and he's already gone). I hope he has fun.

More exciting than that...my SIL had a baby girl yesterday.

Gonna take the kids to visit new baby Hannah Nicole, and then off to oldest ds's hockey game.

Dh will probably be exhausted when he comes home, so maybe rent a movie tonight for us

Happy Saturday!!!!

Marla... CONGRATULATIONS to your sister and to you (for becoming an aunt) What a cute name. Enjoy your visit with her. :) My neice and her dh just took their last scuba diving class on Thursday and loved it. :) Enjoy your day!

JAK... I hope you enjoy your dc class and that you don't get lost. I hate going when I don't know exactly where I'm going, which is why I usually try to go with someone else. LOL

Cathy... Have fun ordering your new furniture! Have you considered maybe ordering a sleep number matress? That way your dh would be able to adjust it to his own liking. We love ours and it's really helped my and dh's back.

Hope you all have a nice day!

Diane...

Got a phone call yesterday that fil had fallen in the middle of the night and broken his leg. They were able to set it, but because he is in a wheelchair already, he is going to have to go to a rehab hospital for a couple of weeks to learn how to get around the little that he does with this cast on.

Had a fun night last night. DD invited a friend over and when the mom dropped her off at 4, I said wanna come in for an early glass of wine? So she did. At about 5 another girlfriend called to invite me to come over for a glass of wine, told her I was way ahead of her and to come to my house! LOL Well, it gets to be about 6:30 and mom #1 said that she needed to leave cause hubby would be home soon and they were going to order pizza. Told her to call him and we would just order pizza at our house. Mom #2 called her hubby and we ended up having a party! LOL Lots of wine and beer was consumed.
Everyone left around 10. Bet next time that mom #1 just drops her dd off rather stoppping! LOL
Taking dd to see the high school's performance of Beauty and the Beast this afternoon.

Dh is still sick and now I think I'm getting it...scratchy throat and runny nose. However I've been consuming Dristan since yesterday morning and I'm determined I'm not going to let this beat me!!!

Have to take ds to the mall today to buy another phone card for his cell so he can carry his minutes over. He's babysitting his cousin tonight while his parents go out.

Not sure what else is up today. Since dh is still sick he's not going to darts this afternoon and now we won't get to do one of our two dinner/movie/casino invitations for tonight either. I also believe we won't be going to a Superbowl party tomorrow now either! I hate colds!!!

P.S., Ann sounds like a fun Friday night was had.

Morning all. We are headed into a long weekend...sememster change at the high school, and PD days at the elementary/jr. high, so we have Mon & Tues off. Nice for the days off, but when there is no school, I don't get paid!
Not rushing with my ususal house cleaning this morning, cause I've got lots of time over the next few days.

Oldest dd has gone to a youth retreat for the weekend. They are all headed to the ski hill today...think she is going tubing for the day.
Ds just got picked up to go ice fishing for the day.
Dd is just buming around for the day, but headed to a girlfriends for a sleepover tonight.
Dh is still sleeping.

I watched Shall We Dance last night, and think I am going to rewatch it this morning yet. I really enjoyed it.

Have a great Saturday all!

I could go without dh, but I'm starting to feel a bit of the cold myself and think I should probably stay home as well.

Marla, I must have missed a post about Hannah...congrats anyhoo!

Hummm, never met a man named Hannah before. Can't wait for her to get back here to explain. :) Maybe FIL is Nicholas hence, the middle name, Nicole??????

Dd had dance so I ran out and picked up a b'day gift or two for her. (Target has Cinderella Story on DVD for $10, and I knew she'd like that). Anyway, she's headed to a sleepover at 2pm and I guess I'll wash germy sheets and maybe wash my car. Dh is working at our townhouse. I rented Anchorman for us to watch tonight. I love Will Farrell, hope this is a good flick.

Ya'll have a good day!

Or maybe the fil is named Hans??? I'm curious, too.

Ds1 had a basketball game this morning, and is now at a snow tube outing with the scouts. He was invited to sleep at a friends tonight...so he'll probably do that. Ds2 has a basketball game after lunch. I've got laundry, and cleaning to do. We were supposed to go to a Mardi Gras party tonight...but couldn't get a sitter for ds2. Bummer. Next year ds1 will be 12...and we'll let him do some nighttime babysitting. But until then, we have to find teenage sitters. We'll probably just rent a movie tonight, instead. Going to a Super Bowl party tomorrow night. I'm just bringing "munchies"...so that is easy. Have a good day!!

I cannot believe how many times I tried to read all the posts today and had to leave or go do something! Now I have the time and can't think or comprehend anything properly because of putting together all these tiny pieces of K-nex with the kids! lol
Ann, I love those last minute parties, we do that often and they are more fun than the ones we plan on going to sometimes.
Bev, I hope the cold goes easy on you.
Angie, enjoy your party.
Marla, congrats on your new niece. I've been really missing having a tiny baby to snuggle and wish I knew someone who's pregnant. :tinysmile
Tried so hard to sleep in but didn't work. Finally dragged my lazy butt out of bed and made pancakes before dh took ds1 shopping for new basketball shoes/shorts. Got the youngest in/out of tub and got myself ready, took an amazing short time to dry my hair and do make-up today. lol After ds1's b-ball game we went out for lunch with dh's sister who came to watch and her dd. They came home with us for sliding and then dh and I started playing k-nex with the boys. Still at it too! Ds3 has a small cut on his hand that is healing but boy was he being dramatic about it tonight. "it's going to kill me" were his words. I don't even know where a two year old heard that!!! Must've been the older boys playing and he heard it. A hundred kisses later and he's still complaining, and I don't think there's any real pain. lol
G'night all :)

LLLLOOOONNNNGGGG Day here! I was up at 5:30 and drove to GI for an early childhood conference. It was pretty good and probably worth the money. I was fighting a stomach ache most of the day so that made it hard to really get into it all. It lasted until 4:30 though. Then I went to Walmart hoping to find my game boy game, but they didn't have it. I had to pick up stuff for dh anyway. Looked on Walmart's website for it , but it's out of stock. Am dying to use my shopping card!!

Had a headache all the way home since the other drivers had their lights on bright and dh's lights on his car aren't the best.

Guess it was pretty nice today, but I only made it outside for a short time. Supposed to snow tomorrow.

Ann, I wish we had friends to do the impromptu thing. That sounds like so much fun!!

have a good weekend!!

I am putting out a big "taco" bar. Beef and Chicken and all the fixings. Friends are bringing drinks/desserts. One friend really wants chicken wings so she is bringing them. We don't really care about the game, but it's a reason for a party. I hate that superbowl is always on a Sunday night cuz the kids have school the next day.

One of our friend's is like that...he doesn't care about football, but loves the party and will even book the next day off work, lol. I think if the party we were invited to tonight was in town, we might have gone for the first half, but since it's out of town and indeed a Sunday night, and we aren't feeling the greatest, we'll pass. DS and I will watch it together though.
