Oh great!!!

DH and DS are leaving bright and early in the am for the big boy scout canoeing trip. They will be home Sunday afternoon. I just found out that of the five kinds of poisonous snakes that we have in Texas ALL FIVE are in the area that they are canoeing in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would have been just fine if they had not mentioned this little detail till Sunday!!!! LOL

Say a prayer, cross your fingers, light a candle that they return safely!!!

I was walking ds around the block and for some strange reason I glanced down towards this bush. There was a RATTLER under there sunning itself. Chills ran down my spine. When I lived in the other part of Colorado there were HUGE snakes sunning themselves in my yard and big hairy spiders in the mud room. UGH! Don't miss those at all!

I hope they're having a good time together. I don't think I would have wanted to know about the snakes either... I HATE snakes anyway but knowing that most of them are poisonous doesn't help, but I'm sure they'll be just fine. (but I'll keep them in my thoughts and prayers anyway) Let us know how their trip went. Are you and dd spending some fun time alone together??? Hope you're having a good time too. :)

Hi Ann. Thanks for missing me. I subbed Tues, thurs and Friday. Trying to make money for this summer. I am a tad bit overwhelmed. Between end of school activities, and 2 soccer teams and my softball team it is just too much. This friday is Jay's bday and he wants to have a sleepover. fun!!
Had did the weekend go? Did the guys get home safely??

Yeh! I agree that could have been one of the left out things. I hate snakes. We have rattlers and moccasins in FL, but I think that is all the poisonous ones. I haven't seen any in Germany. I am sure that they have some though.Hope everything goes well. Let us know. They'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

That got back safe and sound. Saw one snake swim past them! Now, I get all the dirty stinky laundry to do!!! LOL

No not yet. I am using a neighbor's computer. I probably won't get this much time after this Friday. I have been lucky so far, but after this week, we'll have to see.I probably won't be back for good until the beginning of June.

I agree with not needed to know that about the snakes, we have lots of snakes here at the Farm, big and ugly but not posinious......I hit one once with my riding mower...eeewh.....glad they got home safe, sorry about your stinky laundry..... :lol:
