Sheesh, were does the time go?!! I still feel like there's so much to do, but I think it's just panic setting in b/c everything has to be done over the phone or via email. Still have to pick and book the restaurant for after the ceremony, order my bouquet, book our room in Jacksonville, choose the honeymoon spot, look for another dress, and I know there's more, but I'm drawing a blank and my planner is at work! Aaaaccckkk!!! I've booked my spa appointment for wedding day and df's massage. He has to go at 9:30 so he won't be there when I'm there  I get to go at 11:30... can't wait!!! Facial, pedicure, Swedish massage, hair style.... aaaahhhh, I'll be spoiled! Dd's getting her hair done, too, but she doesn't have to come until 2!
Oh, and I've started at the tanning bed (mentioning it since Ann's not here to fuss at me!!! LOL) AND, got in some more stuff that I ordered... fun stuff, favors and gifts and such! I lucked up on some great prices! I got silver dolphin placecard holders, silver dolphin bottle opener, ocean theme wine charms, silver bells with a dolphin on the top (are you seeing a pattern here?!!), got the moms really pretty wooden jewelry boxes, still working on the dads, they're so hard to buy for! They don't like the gifty stuff like the mom's do!! Now I need to get busy gathering everything up and getting it packed for the trip. So much it seems left to do!!
K, I'm done, thanks for letting me ramble on!!!! :D

It sounds like you've still got a lot of things to do... but I'm sure you'll get them all done in plenty of time. The time is going so fast, it will be here before you know it. :happydnc: It sounds like it will be a lot of fun... :)

Just an off the wall question and maybe you have talked about this already... Are you taking his last name? How do you feel about having a different last name than your daughter?

Jen - work's going well... boring, but it's a paycheck!!

Angie - yes, I'm taking df's name, but he's also adopting dd so she'll have the same last name, too. It just won't be finalized in time for the wedding. I have a friend of a friend who's a family lawyer that'll be handling the adoption for us, but she's been extremely busy lately, and since she's doing it as a favor, her paying clients come first! I've read all the laws and we're good to go with everything... TN laws are great!! It's definitely all on my side! Given our situation, my consent is sufficient. Since he's not on the birth cert, has never been named her father, petitioned for paternity, etc (plus the statute of limitations has run out for him to even attempt it now :yippee:) there's no one to contest the adoption. AND, there's no waiting period. Some states require you to be married for a year before a step parent can adopt. With us now going to be married first, everything will go that much faster, yea!!!

That's great! :) your dd must/should feel very special. In this case it's probably a good thing he (her bf) never had any interest. It makes everything for you and df so much easier. Good luck!!!!
