Glad to hear you found some land Judy... :)

Sitting here all by myself. My dc mom called last night and her ds isn't feeling very well. I told her that on Monday... but she thought he was fine. He's been complaining about a sore throat... and now that he's been here all week  she's thinking he has strep. Ugh... thanks!! I had my gd here on Monday, so hopefully now she won't get it, or anyone else. Anyway, she's taking him in for a strep test this morning. She was going to bring the other two until I told her to keep them with her... just in case they had it too. They're good kids and there isn't any reason why she couldn't bring them with her. I hope it comes back negative but if it is, I probably won't be seeing them again until Monday.

Were suppose to be getting a bad snow storm... they said we could get anywhere between 4 to 12 inches of snow. 8o 8o 8o I just want it all to go away!!! LOL We can't complain because so far this year we've only gotten 19 inches of snow. Each/every time it's snown, it's melted right away ... so we really haven't had to deal with a lot of it. It's March though, and I'm just ready for it to be gone. LOL Anyway... if it snows I'll have Sarah again on Friday. Hopefully it won't find us.

More laundry, thinking about running to the Family dollar store to see what kind of cute things I can find for Sarah's easter basket. I can't buy her candy so it will be filled with lots of spring/summer clothes and toys. (her Easter basket is a clothes basket... LOL) This is a grandma who knows how to spoil her granddaughter. LOL :biglaugh:

Anyway... hope you all have a good day. Happy St. Patrick's day! I don't think I own anything green to wear... LOL

Diane...

Judy, I didn't know you were looking for land.
Ann, hope your dd feels better soon.
Diane, I'm with you and the snow...we got another bit over night.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Not too much on today. Work. A girlfriend is coming by tonight for coffee and catch-up. We haven't seen each other in two weeks so we'll have lots to discuss. We both work for the same institution and we used to see each other every day for coffee break, but since I took this new job and am further away on campus, we aren't able to get away together.

Went to see my Dad last night. I think he was hoping he'd get discharged this weekend since he'll be getting his new brace Friday, but I don't think that's going to happen and I don't think he's thinking it will happen either now. He mentioned Sunday that he'd ask to come home for the weekend at any rate, but last night he still hadn't informed the hospital, and they have to know by Wednesday each week. He wants me to go shopping for jogging pants for him since they told him he'd have an easier time getting dressed if he didn't have to fart around with his zipper, button and belt, lol. No, he'll just get the jogging pants all twisted when pulling them up, rofl. Oh well, I'll buy them for him anyway. I can't see my Dad in jogging pants.

Good morning! Ds2 was up last night with quite a fever and is still feeling puny this morning. That means we won't be taking care of the care group kids tonight and my kids are going to be bummed. Not sure what else we'll do today other than housework and schoolwork for the girls.

Morning All!

I need to get back in the real word. I can't belive I forgot about st. pats day!
Now I'm all depressed. Need to find some green to wear...maybe I'll go to the daycare this afternoon.

Just have some running around to do today and I think it's supposed to be nice again...so I'll go enjoy the day!

Up early for dck's again as my friend's ds is still sick. I just have the 2 before schoool again. They were so quiet you would have never known they were here. Going to Curves tonight. Don't know what I'll do without Survivor on TV tonight. I watched most of last nights show so maybe I'll finish watching the whole thing. The kids had to go to guitar right in the middle. So I saw the beginning and the end! Need to watch AR from this week too as I only caught the end. At least I'm keeping up with who is going home each week! LOL

Judy- I thought you were looking for a house. Didn't know you were looking for land. Is the land in Fayetteville or some where else? Dh said if we ever went back he'd want to build and live in Elizabethtown (I think that's what it's called) For the 5 years we lived there he had a pt job framing houses so he worked all over the place.

Ann and Pam- hope your dks are better soon.

Bev- how is your new job going? LOL about your dad twisting up the jogging pants

Vea- get up and moving!!! it will make your depression go away.

Diane- hope the snow stays away for you.

Morning all! :stpats:

Middle dd and I have nasty colds, but we are both going to school/work. Figure we can tough it out one more day. No school tomorrow because of parent/teacher meetings.

Oldest dd wants me to buy her a straightening iron, which blows me away cause her hair is poker straight in my opinion! But she doesn't like the little curl at the bottom where it reaches her shoulders!
Anybody here use one...do you like it....any brand name suggestions?

Still crappy weather here. Bright and sunny, but cold! Yesterday it was -25C in the morning.

Best get to work! Happy St. Patricks Day! And yes I am wearing green. Little leprechaun earrings, a green shirt and a shamrock broach.

I don't know if you would consider it a big holiday....but I am 1/4 Irish....and I do like to make corned beef and cabbage. And I totally forgot. But since it's in the middle of the week I won't make it just for me. Oh well!

TOP O THE MORNING TO YA!

I am at work, might have to leave early, DD hasn't been feeling that great, and even though she insisted on going to school today, I will probably get a call later saying she isn't well, no I don't have physic powers, just know that this kid will put on a brave face until she just can't.

Grilling steaks for dinner, and just hanging out with dh...he's been working late these past few days, and I feel like I haven't seen him.......

Good afternoon,
And Happy St. Patty's Day!
At fil's right now waiting for dh and kids to think of what they want to do with the rest of the day. Been a lazy morning so far. Looks like his wife isn't Irish. Ham and meatballs for dinner. Good meal, just can't believe I'm not having corned beef or cabbage. LOL
Yep, I am in green. Hey, it's about time I celebrated this day now with good reason. Always have but I didn't really know for sure I was Irish until that last couple years. Go figure. Well, I'm on their computer and it's wierd. Have a good day all :)

Darlene, be super careful with those! I've heard they damage your hair faster than anything else! I know someone who uses one and her hair looks a bit like that of an old Barbie doll! 8o

You want one that is ceramic and you need a spray on conditioner to use with it, or big damage like Pam says.

Went to bed after 1 and didn't sleep well last night, so I am hoping for a nap today. Conferences for both dks tonight. They have spring pics at school today and youngest ds was disgruntled not to be wearing green on St Pat's Day, but I'll have him put something green on for conferences and that should make him happy. LOL!

I have one...I think it's conair....you can actually put water in it to steam your hair...but I never have. Definately get the one with ceramic plates.
I'm not thrilled with mine...the whole thing opens and you put your hair in and squeeze....very tiring and I dont think it closess tight enough....my hair always slips out....My old one was like a curling Iron and I love it but it broke.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

I had a lunch meeting, now Brichard is off to pick up his contact lenses. The little one I babysit is not feeling very well. Bless his little heart.

I had my picture taken today for the newspaper. Some sort of press for an upcoming Beth Moore event. I am so excited to see her again! Why don't you all come to Indianapolis and see her with me June 3 & 4?

It is a beautiful day here sunny and upper 50's. It's about time!!!!!

Enjoy your day!

Hmmm well, I thought we were looking for a house. just not sure where or what .. but we found a "manufactured" home then had to find or look at property to sat it on .. want out somewhere that we don't have to put up with much on the ccr's .. an neighbors that can't stand trucks.

JAK : we found the land out in HOKE county .. very wooded right now; but the seller is clearing some of it for the home. So we are going out that-away .. lolol just barely outside of Raeford actually, off 211. It will be easier access for Bill to get home, come straight off the 95 .. YEAH !!!
anyways heading for bed rite now .. have to be up at 7.. GRRRR .. lolololol

AMY : : Oh but it is growing up sooo much here now!!! Just not too much between Raeford & 95 yet ... lolol They have a NEW WAL-MART SUPER CENTER JUST 13 MILES east of Raeford now at Raeford(401) / Rim Rd / Gillis Hills? Rd something like that. And from there it will be only about 3 miles to dd2s house. So thats really not bad.
Oh yes Boiled peanuts.. but all I can say is join the crowd or I could join you.. even though had heard of them had not had any. They have them at any stands in Fla .. here you can buy them at the grocery stores !!!
In fact here U have to be careful which PEANUT your buying when you grab the bag!!!.. lololol
But yes it is sorta more the Booniesville than going the other direction, septic tank, well, hmmm I just hope I learn how to use these correctly... And just maybe later when he decides to sell more of the property we might be able to buy a few more too. Like the one next to us and eventually the one across from us. Like that dont' have to worry about anyone moving in later an complaining about the truck ..!!!!

Oh yes : DD1 is on the Rite .. she is the one over yonder rite now ... DD2 is on the left in the avatar pic... I keep forgetting to tell ya'll which is which ..
Which reminds me they got hit fairly close last nite, close enough to loose electric for a while and sirens going off. :nervous:

How Fun!!

The Leprechauns visited my preschoolers too. They had a blast. I warned them the week before that we could have leprechauns messing things up. These Leprechauns started on Tues. They turned numbers on the calendar upside down, put a can of green beans on the truck shelf, put the kleenex in the freezer. Everything they put in the wrong place had a shamrock on it so the kids were having a blast looking for clues. We decided to build a couple traps to catch them and left Lucky Charms cereal for bait. We got to have it for snack too. On Thursday they left us a note with chocolate coins and green magic powder and a recipe to add milk to it and shake the bag it is in. (pistachio pudding). Some loved it others said it was nasty. The kids found a truck in the oven, a toy phone in the microwave, and the mustard container on the shelf. It was so much fun!! It's funny how even the kids who know that the teachers arranged it all, still get such a kick in playing along.
