Good morning.
Ds2 was up in the night but is sleeping in pretty good. Ds1 is going out the door and the little guy is into everything he thinks he wants. lol
Have to go pick up presc. once the store is open and a few odds and ends at the grocery store.
It's sunny and just beautiful outside and I'll be stuck inside. Might be able to slip out and hang a new bird feeder though.

DD slept ok, DS was up till 5 this am barking. May take him in tomorrow if he has another bad day, doesn't seem to be following his normal pattern.
supposed to go to lunch with my cousin's/aunt today, but i have $3 to my name! LOL may have to steal from dd.
Mel, it's not beautiful and sunny outside here. It's overcast, snowy and cold. Have I mentioned how much I want winter to end? Have I, huh?
Work today. Dad's coming home tonight for the weekend so we'll pop over there for a wee visit.

First day of Easter Break for dks and I. :yippee: :bunny: Ds2 was up at 6:00 a.m. (as usual!)...so I just got up with him. Dh had to go to work today, but he's off tomorrow.
Today we're cleaning this morning...and then going to a movie after lunch. Maybe "Robots" or "The Pacifier". My family is coming here for Easter, so I've got to start thinking about what I need for that. I'm doing a ham, and a roast in the crockpot. I want to have "shredded beef". Does anyone know how long I will need to cook the roast on "low"? Want to eat it for lunch (12:00-1:00ish)...wondering if I should start cooking it before I go to bed the night before. I don't use my crockpot alot...so any advice would be appreciated.
We're going to the Mall of America next week...(Minnesota)...and I can't wait! I've only been there once, and that was before dh and I had kids. We're also taking the kids through our college town...and meeting up with a friend of dh's, who was a groomsman in our wedding. It'll be a fun way to spend a few days next week.

I need to take him in more for school paper work than the doc can do anything for him. They have never been able to do anything that would shorten these episodes and we usually just have to ride them out.

low is usually a 10-12 hour cooking time. high is about 5 hours. i would probably put it in before i went to bed the night before on low if you want to cook it on low.

I had a roast in our crockpot yesterday. It turns out "shredded" too. I put it on low at 8:00 a.m. and we ate around 5:30-5:45.

Morning!
Slow moving today...Got awakened by a wrong Number on the cell at 7 am.
I was going to go to bed and decided not to.
Need to dig out and go to allergist. If Iwas smart I'd go out now...cause I think the plow is here. But I'm just not awake enough. LOL.
Going to dbf's today after allergist. He has tomorrow off so...It'll be a long weekend. And my B-day is Tuesday so I may stay longer.

Awake but not quite ready to go yet. I'm so tired for some reason and I went to bed at 9. :rolleyes: Have a bunch of things to do this morning too. UGH! I want to go to Curves tonight but I have a dc meeting and I'm not sure exactly what time one of my dck's will be leaving. I don't think I'll have enough time to hit Curves before the meeting. Then Curves is closed tomorrow and Saturday for Easter and those are the 2 days I don't have any plans.
Did I tell you gals I got another new crockpot? After the first leaking one- I bought another one that leaked too. Took it back this past weekend and bought one at Sam's for $40. It's big and has 2 different crocks. One normal one and the other that is split so that you can cook 2 things at the same time! I used it the other day and it worked GREAT- no leaks on the counter.
Ann- hope the kids are feeling better soon. I have $2 I could send you! ;)

I am exhausted today and can't figure out why...yesterday was so filled with activities and stress that I think I am hungover from life. Need to get some food into this house and clean our the dust bunnies before the Easter bunny arrives and gets scared off!

P.S. How much chocolate are you allowed for Easter? My hope is the Easter bunny is especially generous to me, as I think i need the extra sugar boost just to get through the day!

I'm babysitting today but they are being picked up early. They are all sitting quietly playing reader rabbit on the other computer. So nice! I have dinner in the crock pot and today is our last day of school before spring break :yippee:

The first one not only leaked water all over the counter, but it also leaked into the metal part of the **** pot under the crock. I was scared it would start a fire or I'd get electrocuted (however you spell it). The next one just leaked on the counter, but not as bad as the first one. it was condensation from the lid, but after Daine posted abuot her dd's problem, I now know it's a lid problem. Since the lids did not fit properly, the condensation from the lid came up and over the side of the crock pot.

That's what the kind of shredded beef I'm talking about. You just cook it, and then pull it apart with a fork before you serve it. I do the same thing with turkey, occasionally.

It's been a fairly quiet day today... even though I've gotten all of my kids back. It's really nice getting all of them back... it's been way too quiet/boring this whole week without them. :)
Beautiful weather outside... 53 degrees today. Almost all of snow we got last Friday (8 inches) has melted. The first thing I heard when I woke up this morning were robins singing... so they're back. Saw two this afternoon... wow, spring is officially here.
Worked on Easter crafts today, am closed tomorrow. Am looking forward to (hopefully) sleeping in. I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night... had too much on my mind. :( Lots of things I need to get done before Sunday, so will be working on that tomorrow.

Hola! I'm almost back among the living! I had an allergic reaction to the second RX the doc called in for me Tuesday :rolleyes: It's always something! Still not 100%, but I got a wild hair and df and I started cleaning and straightening... the house has gone to pot since we've both been sick! Nice to get some of it done! Hoping to feel good enough tomorrow to do some organizing and tossing tomorrow. We really need to have a yard sale, so I'm going to try to start getting stuff together for that, fun!

Evening all! Been busy the last couple of days getting ready to go away for the weekend. The house is straight and ALL the laundry done. I just kinda want to stay home now that all is done and stuff is put away. lol
Ann, I'm so glad your aunt is doing well. :) Sorry to hear ds is still feeling lousy though.
Diane, hope you can have a restful night and easy morning before doing the last of your preparations for the weekend.
Mary, Happy Spring Break!! Enjoy the trip to the mall too!
