italics, bold ?

How do some of you put words into italics or bold printing within your posts?

[ b ] text [ /b ] : that makes things bold. (be sure to take out the spaces!)

and

[ i ] text [ /i ] : that makes things in italics. (again, just remove the spaces!)

In answer to your previous post about the old board. I'm working on getting it out in a way that people can still browse, just not reply.
