Dh has been gone for 7 weeks already. Since his departure I have had the luxury of scooping dog poop, mowing the lawn, potty training ds, being supreme financial analyzer, getting ready to get the house in order so we can leave on vacation(stopping newspapers, making pay arrangements for those bills that come during the same time and cleaning the house), being subjected to dd's sporadic meltdowns, dealing with my sister and her missing relative and my own PMS with no dh to spout off too! LOL

Oh yeah! And fixed my sprinkler system (thanks Karla ;))

I feel very independent, but this independence is draining the life force out of me! LOL I think I need to go out and buy me some wine. But that will be counter productive too because I'll be useless tomorrow.

What an awesome job you have done!!! You are the ruler of your home, queen of the castle, head of the household....go, go, go....you can do it!!!

Ok, maybe a small glass of wine

Well, I was going to suggest a good, creamy cup of hot, caramel creme decaf, but I think the wine sounds good. a couple of glasses before bed.
Sounds like you've got everything under control. I can not believe how much stronger you sound than you did anticipating your dh absence. You are "woman" you will survive.

That's ALL you're doing?? :newwink: Actually, I admire you - I don't know that I could do it and you seem to be handling it all so well! btw - Don't forget that you also fixed your sprinkler system! :D Treat yourself to a glass of wine or two :) you deserve it!!

I posted this once already..don't know where it went....

Who says you can't be useless tomorrow? What really would happen IF FOR JUST ONE DAY you didn't pick up dog poop, pay bills, cook dinner??? Would the world really come to a screeching halt????
Declare tomorrow pajama day and order dinner out and have some wine!

You're handling it all a lot better than I ever could... you should be very proud of yourself for everything you've done/accomplished. :yippee: :) Go ahead and have that glass or two (three... ) of wine, you've earned it... :) When are you leaving for your vacation??? I'll bet you're really looking forward to it. :)

Diane... :)

I admire you for being able to handle all that life throws you Amy!
Just think how quickly time has passed (at least I was shocked to hear it has been 7 weeks already!) since your dh left. Before you know it, you'll be on vacation and having a great time with your best friend....you'll have to get him to stop in here and say hello to us all!

Keep up being a great mommy!

:)

Thanks!!

Kat, I think I was in a dread phase when dh first left. Now Im in a "lock me in my room and no one talk to me for a whole day" phase! LOL Actually it was mowing that %#% lawn tonight in 85 degree weather and ds all the while pouring sand out of the sandbox.

Karla-I had to edit my post to include the sprinkler system from hell! Thanks for the reminder!

Angie-Rah Rah Rah!! You can be my cheerleader anytime! I ALMOST had a roar coming out of my mouth! LOL

Ann-Who in the heck is going to feed my kids, drive dd to school and keep ds company while I nurse my hangover?? LOL

Diane-I swear, if I make it to Cape Cod in one piece (june 9th), Im going to party like its 1999!! ROFL

My oldest brother is going through massage therapy training. When I go home, he is going to hook me up with one of the students. They practice on people like me to gain experience for only $25/hr! I told him his name better be Sven and have hands of silk!!! LOL

Thanks for the pick me up girls!

Isn't it amazing what we can do when we have no other choice? I am a very independent person, but I didn't think I could make it through a while year with my dh gone. I did it!

Vacation will be a nice change of pace and seeing family will really help. My parents came to visit me around the 5 month mark and the dk's and I went on vacation with them for a week. That was wonderful.

How much longer to you have left until he comes home? I hope it goes by fast for you. I know how some days just seem to ddddrrrrraaaaggggg on!! Keep smiling girl, you're doing an awsome job! :)
