I was wondering if anyone here believes in ghosts.

Since I found out about my Parents deaths, things have 'happened' here.
For example the iron falling off the rack. (its one of those things that hold the ironing board & iron, attached to the wall) It never fell before.

when I walk into the kitchen the cabinet doors open.
a shelf fell suddenly from my entertainment center (breaking a vase)
when my phone rings a button that says TALK flashes fast.
sometimes just the TALK button will light up, slowly ..
TALK >>>>>>> TALK >>>> TALK
no one is on the line.
On monday (after my phone call w/ evil sis) my dh told me, the bathroom light kept coming on. he turned it off 3 times. (the kids were in bed)
On tuesday I took dd to school, leaving the TV on channel 28.
I came home it was on channel 5 (my fav morning news station)

This morning my dd comes to me & asks ,"mommy what do you call something that looks like a feather, flys in the air, then disappears?"
I asked why she was asking, was it a joke ?
She tells m, "no mommy. I saw it in the livingroom !
a feather came from the air & flied then it disappeared."

I want to believe its My Dad, letting me know he's around.

I want to believe its My Dad, letting me know he's around.

When I die, and I have the ability to manipulate things, I think I can come up with much more effective ways to let people know it's me.

Like use the computer or arrange some beans to spell some words.

I mean, if you can flip a light switch or knock over shelves, you SHOULD be able to press down a few keys.

Needless to say, I don't believe in ghosts. :tinysmile

In a friends home a few years ago, i had an encounter with what you would describe as a ghost. I was given the guest room and had admired the home as it was an old victorian two story (about 200 years old). In the middle of the night i awoke because i felt very cold and decided to pull the etra blanket up from the foot of the bed, i sat up and saw a person siting at the end of the bed brushing her long hair. i thought my eyes where playing tricks on me and looked again, but she sat quietly and continued brushing her hair. i scramble out of this bed, and find the nearest like, all the while calling out asking who was in my room. i disturbed the rest of the house and when the lights were found i was again alone in the room. i placed my hand on the foot of the bed where the women was sitting and saw and felt an inpression in the bedding. I was totally creeped out and as a christian was a little beside myself, as my faith could not comprehend the situation. The owner of the house calmed me down and indeed told me that the orginal owner of the home, his wife and children where indeed request visitors and many have had such encounters . i happened to be staying in the childrens room and the mother requented that room the most. creepy creepy creeepy...after that night I beleive that God has mysteries we may never understand...

I am with David and I don't believe in them.

Heavenly, do you mind if I ask how your parents died? Did they die together/at the same time? I'm just curious because you've mentioned twice today that you "found out about your parents deaths". Did they not live near you when they passed away? Were you estranged?

I sent you a PM Bev.
Got it, but didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable answering if you didn't want to reply to me here.

I didn't answer you here because I'm not a "drama" person.
meaning I don't want people to think I post for sympathy.
Thats not the case.

I don't neccessarily believe it but my sibblings and I do believe we have one at my fathers house. But my dad doesn't believe us....My sister has said that she went to a psychic and they said there was an elderly ladies spirit living in our house and it's just because she didn't want to leave the house. So she is just watching over it.

Not a problem. I'm sorry for your loss though. And again, I'm sorry if I've made it uncomfortable for you.

Can't say I believe in 'Ghosts' in particular, but have known of some weird things to happen.
They always say "God speaks in mysterious ways...."

I guess anything is possible :ghost: :ghost: :ghost:

Toby- I guess it was just because this thread was right next to the one about Diane's dd, but it struck me what a different reaction you had to your two occasions of "intruders". I wonder if on some level you recognized this woman as a ghost, and not a threat. It is interesting what our minds can do.

Can't say that I do, but you never know :ghost:

I would like to think that if my mother or grandparents could, they would be contacting me, through one of the MEIDIUMS out there, bugging the crude out of them until they found me.......... but not freaking me out or trying to scare me.
