Yes, I've had it done several times (and it's not because of my age Amy/CO!)

The blood test is easy, but then I've had so many they don't phase me much...but I don't like them. Just be sure to relax and look the other way. Chatting with the lab tech always helps me. It should take a couple days to get the results back. If it's over 200 they'll probably advice you to watch your fat intake. If it's under 200, they'll tell you keep up the good work. (I've been in both spots)

As for the mammogram, just be sure to relax. It goes quickly if you do. Also, you'll should be advised to not wear deodorant that day (metals in it) and wash with a plain soap before hand such as Ivory. At least that's how it is here. Good Luck with everything...it's good to just get it all done and over with! :)

Yep..had both..and it's no big deal. Just an ordinary blood test for the cholesterol, and just a little booby mashing with the mammogram.

No deodorant or lotions either. They neglected to tell me that for my first one. It was a little uncomfortable, but I didn't think it was too bad. My sister (big boobs) said that hers hurt like the devil. I don't share that problem.
Good luck with your results.

I've had both tests done. High cholesterol runs in my family and I'm struggling with it as well. I thought both the tests were no where near as bad as I envisioned. So don't be scared. Good luck on the tests and let us know how they come out.
