Get so confused on days during the summer.
Woke up at 4:30, not tired at all, just wide awake.
Think I am gonna take dd into the doc. Her ear is really bothering her and she leaves for camp on Sunday. Other than that, just more laundry.

I have the day off! Yay!!!!! But mounds of laundry and cleaning to do. I'll see how much I can get done, then take dd to the pool.

Have the guy coming about our addition tonight and my house is a mess, lol. Took it upon myself to start cleaning out a room that held old toys of ds's and have got stuff from that room all over

Took ds to my sister's/BIL's before work this a.m. as he's going to do some work for them to make a bit of money. Have a ham in the crockpot which we'll take to Dad's for dinner. Busy, busy.

I have no clue what cut of ham it is. I wrap it in tinfoil, put 1/2 cup of water in the crockpot and cook it on low from about 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Nothing major exciting planned for today. :) I'm hoping to finish up a lap robe for a great aunt so it'll be ready to mail out by the end of the week. I'm trying to decorate dd2's socks with a crocheted ruffle, but realized I don't know how to start it, so hopefully Mom will help me with that later. It's ds1's turn at laundry today and he still needs a bit of help getting the settings correct on the washer, so we'll do that, plus fold a few loads dd1 did on Monday. At some point in my life I hope to come to grips with the fact that laundry is a never-ending chore!!! You'd think it wouldn't be a hard concept to grasp, but I'm always griped when the hampers are full again.

Woke up early and went for my walk before it gets too hot/humid. It's already hot enough. Ugh... 8o

Not much today... only have one dcg until 2:00 when the other 3 will come. I can't believe the dad called asking if he could bring their swim suits so they can go swimming in my pool.  Seeing I'll be quitting as soon as I find a job... I didn't really care what I said. I told him that seeing he wasn't going to be dropping the kids off until 2:00, I saw no reason why he couldn't take them to the pool (or let them run through the sprinkler) himself. It was 99 degree's with 75% humidity, and I had absolutely no intentions of letting them go outside to play. I felt it was way too hot for them to be out there, plus... I've never let dck's use my pool. :) Ugh... I don't think he was entirely happy with my bad attitude, but that's exactly what I had at the time. LOL Hopefully he won't ask again. Sorry for the vent in the morning thread but... ugh!! LOL :biglaugh:

Picking my mom up after work then hoping to get back home to finish up the wedding invitations. I've GOT to get them out in the mail no later than Friday. They probably should have been out a week ago... but just haven't had a minute to myself to get them done. I'm anxious for the wedding though... can't wait!!

Ann... How did your interview at Starbuck's go?

Not much else... :) Hope you all have a good day!

Well, I guess we are gonna go look for a laptop today. I am calling ahead of time to see if they have the thing in before we go. I got some of the house cleaned yesterday, but I still need to do laundry. Anyways, I don't know what the day holds for me, but I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Good morning! Ds stayed at dn's last night and they are back, girls are still asleep. I need to do a little house cleaning, but I'm not motivated to do it! I want to get out of the house today... that's all for me! Have a good day!

I'm thinking that I am missing waaaaay too much with my sporadic posting (a baby is a good excuse, right? LOL!) and think ya'll should take pity on me and start an ongoing thread with updates like these just for me. :D :goofy:

Dh's sister and her dh are coming over later this morning, doing lunch with us and then heading out later this afternoon. It'll be their first time to see dd. I made a jello cake this morning and still need to get some stuff cleaned up and get myself ready. :) Hope to get in the pool with ds's this afternoon and then they both have baseball tonight.

Morning! lazy day here....Fell asleep on the sofa and actually stayed there all night until dbf got up at 7 today....Then I took my meds and went back to bed until 10:30.

I just have no motivation. oh did I say how much that tetnus shot hurts today...well it does...when I got it yesterday i thought...wow that was no big deal....why do people complain...yeah right!

Diane~ didn't know you were quiting...why? Good luck...I don't blame you on the pool...that's responsibility I would not want...plus I would never go out in that heat either.

If you are having a hard time getting them out, why isn't your dd doing it? Isn't that part of her responsibility anyhow?

I told her that I wanted to do it... :) Her future MIL is doing their side of the family so it's not like I have to do their's too. Just kind of panicking because it's getting kind of late. I'm hoping to have it done by the end of the day.

More of the same from yesterday. Kids are gone to the park with the babysitter. This is my bil's girlfriends dd. She's 16 and it's great to have someone we can trust with the boys. Dh and I were talking about having her here instead of one of his sisters when we go out to a concert next month. We have never had any teen babysit like that at night. She doesn't live too far, we have to go get her and bring her home again but I don't mind.
Hope you all have a great day :)

Nope, no bone. I don't season it. It's a pretty plain ham, but we like it. I now some people use coke or ginger-ale to cook it with instead of water. I've never tried that.

I think I hit the wall :banghead: Today started for me at 7:45am with a dentist appointment for ds, then summer school, then pottery class for dd, then home for a quick lunch, then off to my friends house who just bought a new one recently, got back at 4pm with a ton of faxes and phone messages waiting for me, the house is a sty, dd decides to give me an attitude instead of helping me, send everyone upstairs that I better not see anyone's face until dinner time, I have a mental breakdown, I pick myself back up, clean the house, fix dinner, sit down (for the first time) try to open the paper to see what the temp is going to be like (HATE this heat/humidity), the phone rings with first my sister, then a customer and then the fax again. I QUIT!!!! This is SUPPOSED to be the slow period of time before Fall and it hasn't slowed one iota. Now we are getting other installer's F*^Cked up work to fix on top of our own customers. All of this reminds me of chinese water torture! As you dissect my days into individual events, it really is nothing, but the sum of all these "drops" is enough to make you insane.

Thank you all for letting me vent. I feel much better now! Try and sort your way through my long run-on sentence. LOL

Another hot sticky one... 44C / 111.2F. (with humidex) Hope this ends soon. I know I hate winter, but this is crazy. Looks like a hot week ahead of us yet.

dd called me this morning from her baby sitting job all in a panic. The younger child (4) had been complaining of a stomache ache and ended up having diarrhea (sp) everywhere. She didn't know where to beging to clean him up and was totally grossed out. A friend of mine was here at the time so she stayed with the girls while I went over to help her out. Poor little guy. I think he was more upset over dd reaction then what had happened. He was afraid she wouldn't like him any more.
He was running a fever so we called his mother just to let her know. She came home within 45min. Just talked to her tonight when she called to cancel with dd for the next few days. Poor kid just has some sort of flu bug or possibly too much sun/heat exposure when they went out last night. She is taking the rest of the week off to be with him anyway.

little one is feeling much better today. Still sneezing, but the runny nose has dried up. She is eating better too. Glad it was short lived.

I am doing much better today thank you! After I got dinner made, I went outside to water my flowers and the kids followed me out there> I took the opportunity to release some frustration with life and them and hosed them down good. LOL They were estactic and I got happy beaming them with the water as they tried to sneak up on me. :)

Because we share everything else around here with the dck's and this is OUR pool... the one thing we've decided not to share and to keep for ourselves. :) Our insurance company would have a bird if I let them in my pool and would probably cancel us. (too much of a liability) Another thing is that kids usually aren't very good about getting out of the pool to use the bathroom, and I don't want my pool being used as a toilet. :)

He is a sub-contractor for Lowes Home Improvement. We own our own business but all our work comes from Lowes. If your dh is deft at installing just one of the following: doors (entry or storm), carpet, tile, windows, kitchens cabinets, countertops, fences, garage door openers or roofing, then he can try and get into sub-contracting. If he can't do that-he can start at the store in Millwork (doors and windows) and work his way up on the inside. Some guys who used to sell doors are now reps for the manufacturers and make great money or they progress very easily to installed sales managers of the store.

We are super busy right now-but we work for 4 Lowes stores in the Rochester area.

We did get the cabinets from Lowes. Dh and his brother (who is a Lowes kitchen installer) put the whole kitchen in themselves.

Thanks for the reply. Well, he does have some experience in most all of those skills from years and years ago. His dad was a contractor in Chicago so he grew up with it, helping out, etc. 20+ years ago he work several years building luxurious houseboats. He just hasn't used those skills in awhile. I'll put a bug in his ear. We have several Lowe's stores near where we live.
