Happy Friday everyone! Running some errands today and then we have our school carnival from 4-8 tonite. Should be lots of fun. Tomorrow is a wild day..ds has baseball playoff at 10, his piano recital at 2, and then a church youth group outing at 5! Sunday, we have another baseball tournament and dd has a birthday party to go to all at the same time!
I may take a nap today..dh was snoring so I slept in dd's room..well she talked in her sleep most of the night and then woke up at one point, jerked all the covers off of my bed, when I asked her what she was doing she said "I want to build at tent!!" LOL The dog kept coming in cause I was sleeping in the wrong room....I think it would have been better to stick with the snoring!! LOL

Cold and rainy here too.
I had to take the van in this morning for a wheel allignment so I hope I get it back soon. I would like to leave for MIL's by 3:15 at the latest and I need to clean the van before I take it anywhere.
I still have some laundry to do and packing some clothes but other than that I'm pretty much set. Mind you, I don't think it will be a free day since the guys on the roof will be calling me to make lunch before long. They were up there before six so I'm sure lunch and dinner will come early.
I hope you all have a nice day and great weekend. It's supposed to clear up and be nice and sunny here. :)

Good Morning everyone!!

We are going to visit my brother today when dh gets home from school. It's about a 2 hr drive, so I think I'll keep dks up today so they sleep on the way. :) We are looking for a riding lawn mower with some type of snow plow attachment(?) for our new house. Big yard and driveway, so we really need to get something or it would take forever.

Ann - LOL about your dd! Hopefully you can sneak a nap in today. Have fun tonight - I love school carnivals!! :)

Melody - Hopefully the guys on the roof won't disturb you too much. :tinysmile

Renee- Glad your tests went well! Enjoy your wknd at home - those are always nice! :D

Happy Friday!

So glad it's Friday. Sat 3 hours last night at graduation. One more local one tonight. Much smaller school so hopfully the time will be cut to 2 hours. Weather doesn't look good so that means the hot gym. Though that will probably be best for ds. He coughed and sneezed through the entire ceremony last night. Allergy season has really hit him hard this year. Arghhh! I need some serious "down time" where I don't have to do one single thing.

It has been a difficult week at work for me. Our DSL provider went belly up a few weeks ago, and little by little I am losing those customers to other DSL providers.

As a small company we are known for our customer service and most people love us. But... they are used to the low price/high bandwidth from DSL. So I basically get one person a day calling saying "We think you are really great, but we are going b/c we can't wait!"

I don't take it personally, but it doesn't make me feel yippy skippy!

Completely unrelated I found out another one of my high revenue clients is filing for bankruptcy. Ouch!

Oh well, I know my problems are trivial compared to others but... I still hope that next week is better!

Maybe I should read my sig file eh? lol

Good Afternoon! Wow, it sounds like everyone is so busy!
Renee, I'm glad the bloodwork went well. Here's hoping for good results! :)
AnnW, I can relate to those nights...hope you got a nap!
Mel, have fun going to MIL!
Karla, you're traveling, too...have fun :)
Kat, you must be a saint sitting through those graduations! (yawn! LOL)
And Brichard, I'm so sorry about business. I hope things improve soon. Can you get another DSL provider?

Not much going on here..good! I ran all day yesterday so today I'm recovering. I have got some housework done but nothing major :)

Enjoy your Friday and Weekend! :)

We are looking very hard at re-selling another DSL provider.

The problem is that we don't want to get burned again. Trying to find a DSL provider doing well financially is a bit of an oxymoron.

So... we will probably end up working with the local Telco. We are close to working out a deal with them, but putting together those contracts takes time.

Anyway... we'll get there! :D

The kids got out of school at 11 AM this morning. The priest even gave all the kids root beer floats before they were dismissed!!

Ds #1 will be mowing the lawn today and ds #2 will still be cleaning as he's still grounded. (Did I tell you all how he got grounded?--If not, read on, if so skip to next paragraph-- He had some assignments a couple weeks ago that he didn't get done/handed in. The teacher sent a late note for us to sign so we knew he was missing these assignments. He was afraid he'd get in trouble for another late note, so he signed my name on it!!)

I have a headache today that I can't get rid of. I'm super tired too, but everytime I try to sleep, the kids interrupt. Woke up in the middle of the night with a cramp in my leg (think it's called a charlie horse maybe?) My leg still hurts!

My plan for today is to spray some weeds with Roundup so they don't take over my garden, try to type up a resume and maybe get some cover letters ready to send for job applications.

Everyone of you sound like you have fun weekends planned. Hope you enjoy them!! :)

Wow everyone was busy today. We went to the mall to buy dh a birthday present, then off to the park with some friends. Dh took ds#1 to motorcycle races, while I stayed home with the little ones. MIL is coming up for the weekend for dh's b-day so I better get this house straightened out.
Renee, glad your tests went well.:)

Onet is actually a much smaller company then ours, and if I'm not mistaken... they were using the same DSL provider.

The nationwide DSL providers are Northpoint (Out of business, supplied Telocity,) Rhythyms (Delisted from Nasdaq,) Covad (In financial trouble,) etc. We were using a company named @link, and now everybody is calling them the "weakest link." I mean... they are all in big time trouble and all may go out of business.

About the only DSL provider you can really trust is an incumbent, established Telco like a baby bell or one of the established long distance companies.

We are doing our own DSL in Bloomington b/c there is only one telephone central office. However in Indy you have about 15-20 and the numbers just aren't there for us to make that kind of investment. Probably why all those companies are going out of busines... eh? :)

Anyway, thanks for the thought! ;)
