Wow AnnW! A gameboy is quite a carnival prize! I hope you can keep up today with all you have to do.
We are slowly getting up today. Right now debating on what to have for breakfast, lol. As part of the Indianapolis 500 there is a kids day downtown this afternoon. We are thinking about taking the kids. The weather looks perfect! Tonight we are going to a fondue restaurant with three other couples (no children.)
I hope you all are having a wonderful family filled day!
Angie..sounds like a fun day. I love fondue..in high school we used to have fondue parties all the time! Do you have to go around and kiss all the guys at the table if you drop your meat/bread into the pot??? LOL
Our prize drawing is incredible!!! We raffle off over 150 prizes individually. You just put your ticket into the box of the prize you want to win..they are all displayed with their boxes in our library. The prizes are things like gameboys, tv's, camping equipment, jewelry, karioki machines, American girl dolls, barbies, jars of money, pool toys...ect. It's all profit because all the prizes are donated...some from merchants but the majority from what is called "block donations"..each street that has school kids on it gets together and donates a prize (we did a bike). It's so much fun to go "shopping" and go up and down the aisles looking at what you want to try to win.
Dd has her last soccer game today. Than I have to drive to Colorado Springs Airport today to switch over my tickets from Delta to United and American. I couldn't imagine doing that the day of the flight with two kids, luggage, a box with a tv/vcr in it, stroller and etc. The less I have to do on the day of the flight, the better.
Have fun eveone else!

We have been busy all day. I went to a Tastefully Simple open house with oldest ds this morning. Had lunch together and then we spent the afternoon outside. Met dh and youngest ds at a softball game, came home and did a little cleaning and we are going out to eat with my dad and step mom tonight. Busy day, but we have had so much fun.
Ann- The carnival sounds great! Gee, when I had school carnivals we were excited to come home with a face painting, some trinkets, and a 2 liter of pop! Even better was if we were one of the lucky ones to win at the cake walk! LOL!
angie r - A night out without kids - enjoy it!! :) The restaurant sounds fun!
Amy - How did it go at the airport??
Ryleigh - I have never heard of a glow in the dark mini putt! I bet your dks had a blast!! :D

It sounds like everybody had so much fun planned for their day today... what busy lives you all live. LOL :) I took dd to Maplewood Mall to (finally) spend some gift certificates that we had gotten her for Christmas... She had a BLAST and I was bored to tears. LOL It's always fun when YOU'RE the one doing the shopping!!! We stopped and ate at SUBWAY and then came home. Tomorrow I'm finally going out to buy some flowers to plant in my garden. My mom strongly "hinted" that she needs help with her flower beds... (ugh) and I told her that as soon as I got mine done we'd be down to help her with her's. Then she goes on to say... 'oh no no... that's okay'... :) I just wish if they needed/wanted help they'd just SAY so or ask. LOL That and I sure do wish that a few of my sisters were better helpers than they are. I don't mind helping at all but sometimes it sure would be nice if somebody else could join in on the helping too. :) Ugh... sorry for venting here but... SOMETIMES!!! :) :)
Anyway, I sure hope you all had a GREAT day...
Diane...

Hi all. Nice and peaceful here now. Been a busy day. Both dd's had friends sleep over last night. Oldest dd, her friend and I went to the movie last night (Crocodile Dundee in LA....was okay). On the way home we stopped at the movie rental and I got Pay It Forward....have any of you seen this.......I was :bawling: like a baby by the end!
I was off to yard sales this am....found both girls rollerblades ($2 each pair....gotta love yard sales! ) and a really nice winter coat/ski pants for dd.
Spent the aftnoon putting metal roofing on the shop over at MIL place.....today is bil 39th bday, so stayed at MIL for a BBQ.
Now home for some quiet time.
The board is going really slow for me tonight, so think I am going to say goodnight and head to bed  and catch up on all the posts in the morning.
Sounds like you all had a busy day too!
:)
