If so, what? I get tired quick of cereal and toast isn't much better. What else is there? I would love some recipes that are quick and not too heavy/greasy. I just need something light before jumping on the treadmill because I am not a breakfast fan. Thanks for any ideas.

If I do it's usually just a piece of toast and a cup of coffee. If not toast, some yogert. I have to admit that most mornings I don't eat anything, but I have to have my cup of coffee. LOL I'm really not a breakfast person. :)
Diane...
I'd been guilty of skipping breakfast for years, but have done better in the past six months or so. Sometimes it's nothing more than a glass of juice, other times I'll have a muffin, or yogurt with fruit. It depends on how hungry I am. If I'm hungry I'll go for cereal, but that's kind of rare. The kids love it when I make and freeze breakfast burritos, but that doesn't happen often. :) I have a recipe for really yummy crockpot granola that is great with yogurt. It's really nice if you need something to stick to your ribs!
The weird thing for me is, if I eat breakfast... I'm hungry by 10:00. If I skip breakfast I'm not ready for lunch until about 1:00 or so. Go figure!

I usually eat cereal. Sometimes yogurt, fruit, toast, or a bagel.

I'm the same way....If I really have to have breakfast ....it's usually a bannana or pop tart/nutrigrain bar. some times cereal on weekends. My new fad is those frozen french toast sticks. I love french toast.

Pam, I'm the same. But apparently if you eat within two hours of waking you have more energy. Not sure why I didn't think of muffin's, maybe because I don't like to bake. lol
During the week I always have a big bowl of Special K sprinkled with Bran Buds. On weekends I'll have toast, or most likely cookies (Graham Crackers) dunked in my tea...sometimes a half a package worth :o
Before I got up at the crack of dawn, I would eat either cereal, yogurt, peanut butter toast, mini quiches, scrambled eggs.

I'm not a breakfast eater, neither is ds. Dd#1 likes scrambled eggs, dd#2 likes vanilla yogurt, apples, mini pancakes. Brichard loves oatmeal, I fix overnight oatmeal w/apples in the crockpot that he, ds and dd#2 love!

Not a breakfast person at all. When I do eat something it's usually on the sweet side, cinnamon roll, donut, pop tart, dry cereal.

I'm with you on the yuck, but, I actually will eat this. I have substituted applesauce for the fresh apples and I like it better.
Overnight Crockpot Oatmeal with Apples
2 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/3 cup brown sugar
4 cups water
2 cups old-fashioned uncooked oatmeal
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
Mix brown sugar and cinnamon with apple slices, coating apples. Mix oatmeal with water and salt. Put apples in bottom of crockpot and pour oatmeal mixture on top. Do not stir. Cover and cook overnight on LOW (8 to 9 hours).
In the morning, stir thoroughly. Serve with milk and additional brown sugar.

I haven't had oatmeal in years. I remember when I was little how my mom would make this huge pot of oatmeal with raisons for us kids just about every morning. :licklips: I'm thinking I should try that some morning. It would probably taste just as good now. :)

Instant oatmeal is GROSS! My dks love oatmeal. One time when we were visiting my mil when they were really little she made them instant oatmeal and they both told her it was gross. SHe said to me, "I thought you said they loved oatmeal." I had to tell her I always made the real stuff.
Jen- how much applesauce to you use if you don't use the apples?

I don't measure it, I'm a little of this, little of that kind of cook. I just dumped in enough that looked like 2 apples worth.
