How is ds liking living and working in the new city/town (can't remember whcih it is)? How are things going with dil and the grandbabies? I hope everything is going well for them all.

He loves the new town. He has friends there and is looking to go back to school in the Spring. Hasn't said a whole lot about the job. His days off are Mon. & Tues. and dil hasn't been letting him have the kids on those days off because as she says, "they spend weekends with us, and then would spend a few days at her mom's and then 2 days with ds and that would be too confusing for them." Unfortuately that's the way they've grown up since the beginning: always staying a night or two here and there. I told her that I would give up keeping them on the weekend so ds could have them on his days off if that was how she really felt because ds' visitation should be first and foremost. Her mom asked me today if we wanted to keep the kids this weekend. I said I'd have to talk with dil about ds' visitation first. Dil really just wants me to keep them so she can go clubbing. She has a boyfriend and has had since before she left ds. She even thinks we don't know. I'm sure too that the kids are wearing her mom out. They wear me out.

Anyway, it's a mess. But thanks for asking.

Kept the kids overnight last night and took them back this afternoon. Dil has agreed to let ds have them Mon. & Tues. but wanted me to bring them back today instead of keeping them till Sunday. I said, "No problem". Ds is spending Mon. & Tues. with us this week anyway, so I still get to see them.
Maybe once all the anger and hurt eases up, everything will work out. We shall see.

Funny how I was always under the impression that when our kids grew up we wouldn't have so much to worry about anymore. :rolleyes: Sometimes I think I worry more about them now than I did then. :(
