Well, hurricane vacation (for me) is over, back to work. Short day today, only till 10:15. Have a pretty good schedule this week..t/w/th till 1 and then off Friday. Working with the 'other' old lady ;) this am. It should be interesting, she is kind of a whiner and has pulled the 'old' card a few times on other people. She asked me about taking orders from much younger supervisers, told her I was pretty confidant that going back to work after 20 years, that most everyone would be younger than me! LOL
dd said she is going to ride her bike up at 8..will be interesting to see if she does. ds just went to sleep. :rolleyes:

I am dreading today. It is time crunch Monday with statements being due. I decided to go to work yesterday for 1 1/2 hours to get a head start and the guys from the retail store jacked up all my reconciling. Nothing from the weekend's money made any sense! I organized it as best as I could and I am going to tackle the retail manager today and get him to help me so I don't spend another hour messing around with the confusion.

We are all dragging today. Ate out yesterday and we all feel lousy.
I've got work, and errands. No after school activities today, yay!!!!!
Gotta go find something to feed dd for b'fast (one of those errands today is BUY FOOOOOD). :tinysmile

up early... something I promised myself I would continue to do whether I'm working or not. :) So far I've already made the bed, coffee and have done two loads of laundry. I've still got to go for my walk but will wait on that for a little while. I might go over to help Dawn today... she threw her back out over the weekend and is having a hard time keeping up with Sarah. I'll probably end up helping her with some of her laundry/house work while I'm there... but I love keeping busy so I don't mind. We'll see if she wants the help first... she can be pretty stubborn when it comes to accepting help. LOL

It's raining here too. Going to meet dh for lunch so we can look at new family rings for me at the mall. I hope he doesn't meet too much work at the office or he won't be able to make it.
Had a nice weekend, my niece was so excited to finally be done school and graduate. There were only about 4 others graduating from her program. Other peoples little kids (my niece and bil's grandson more specifically) were getting on my nerves so bad I left the party without letting anyone know and took ds3 to the park down the road. No one was any the wiser but I just couldn't stay there anymore and listen to them. LOL
Dh is leaving for Halifax with Fil and his wife on Thurs. early am. providing fil's platelets are okay for him to go. I hope they don't have a big suitcase, I have a lot I want to send with them for sil so she has the rest of the baby stuff she will need. Otherwise I will have to mail it to her. Need to sort through the bags of clothes for her later today so it's all ready.
Was soooo relieved when I caught a blurp in the news "that Houston has weathered the storm". Then I knew I could relax and not worry about you Ann! That was the only time I was able to listen to it though. Going to get caught up. Have a good day all :)

What's a family ring... is it like a mother's ring but with all your birth stones? Sounds nice... I hope dh can make it.

Diane, yes it is. It has dh and my stones in it as well as the kids. We will go see what there is and then talk to my brother about making the one I want. I seen exactly what I want only it was diamonds in platinum. I want birthstones in white gold. My brother is a jeweler in Halifax so hoping dh will bring one back for me. :)

Dd popped a fever last night 100.5, we didn't give her any meds and before bed she was 99.6 and this morning no fever at all? She is not feeling well though, very clingy. So, no bible study this morning for me.

I pick up ds at school at 11 for his growth recheck at the children's hospital. I am pretty confident that we won't do any sort of growth hormones. I can't wait to see how much he has grown. I am having Brichard take some time off today so I don't have to take sick dd with me. I'd hate to pass a virus to a child who has some major illness.

Nothing planned for tonight. I have a boatload of laundry and no motivation to get to it. It is so bad that I had to get a clean towel out of the dryer for my shower this morning. Yikes!

Got up and headed to Curves for the first time in a while. I have had a little one at 6:30 for over a month now. I made it home and took a shower before my first one showed up at 7:00 so I'm doing good. I'm mentoring a new provider today and she'll be here for 4 hours! :rolleyes: I sure hope we get along.

Up and getting ready to head off to work, I have a head cold, and my nose is stuffy....argh.....other than that.....whineee......

two gals are out today, so it should be an interesting day of deflecting questions.....

Gotta hit the supermarket tonight...we are on our last roll of TP..ARGH!

made chili yesterday so we are baking it over Fritos then a layer of Chedar cheese.....can't wait for dinner.

Gotta Love the Weather change....Its definately fall this week. Dark, Rainy, cooler. Plus eveyones feeling crudy. dbf has been seriously sick all weekend took today off and I feel yukky...so we'll see if I'm getting it or just sinus...from the weather change.

uh..that would be 3 am not 5! LOL he had fallen asleep at 8 and then woke up at 1 and couldn't get back to sleep. we have all been off clock during all this hurricane mess.

Glad to hear Houston was spared from Rita! My brother and bro-in-law didn't evacuate either due to traffic being so bad.

We're having my niece's birthday party here in October, and I'm hoping to do some more house projects before then. I've got more rooms to paint, and I'm hoping to get our new front door stained and installed too. Today I'll mostly be busy with doing laundry and getting the house picked up after the weekend's usual mayhem.
