This week is flying!! It's been so busy, but I'm falling behind at work and home. I went apple picking with dd on Sunday so I didn't get to my regular grocery shopping. I feel like I'm playing catchup since I don't have a solid dinner plan for the week. Guess it's good that the time is going quickly. LOL

I feel like I am in a game of battleship. One more hit and I am sunk! LOL For the past two days, we got hit hard from all the Lowes stores. All those doors we measured during the month of September, all seemed to have come in in the last two days. I have been booking dh's appointments out past Oct 22nd and that is 7 days a week. :rolleyes: At work, I usually work in Quickbooks with dates either yesterday or tomorrow and with Dh's work at the end of October-I don't even know the real date! I have to check daily on my watch to make sure. LOL

Cathy/Amy - I hope things let up for you!
Dd#1 is well and is going to school today. I have two little ones until all the kids get out for half day of school. Then I'll have 7. It is beautiful out so that's where we will be!

Morning!
Up and out already...had to go get my car befordbf went to work....I'm so tempted to go back to sleep. Maybe I'll lay down on couch watch Tv but set an alarm.
I just wiped out at the mechanics.....I triped on an un even ground and landed flat on my back. :bawling: which was already hurting....need to call the new Doctor see if they got my file...so I can make an appointment.

Work for me...back to the kitchen place to pick out door handles since I can't get the ones that are on the display...just when I thought all my decisions were done, lol. Amy, did you go through all this with your kitchen? It's not as easy as just picking out the door style, wood and stain, but I had to decide yesterday on which drawers I wanted my utensils in and did I want one 30" drawer, or two 15" drawers, etc. I am so glad they have a showroom because I fell in love with the very first one I saw when I first went there, so I just said give me that wood/door style/stain, and now I can't get the handles, lol. We have chosen Alder wood, New Haven door style and Toffee stain. The handles we wanted are black, so we'll see if I can get something similar in black today.
Dinner at Dad's tonight. I put a stew in the crockpot this a.m. but forgot to add spices (ie. salt, pepper, garlic, cayenne)...hope it will still taste good if I add those at the end :)

Angie, enjoy the outdoors, hoping that's where I'll be this afternoon too.

Have a few things to do in the house, drop a chicken in the crockpot and then going into the city a little more to get those lamps I liked at Pier 1.
Dh said he's coming home today. It was supposed to be Thurs. with them leaving very early and being here by dinner but plans changed and they are coming a day early. Not sure why, maybe they are all just tired or tired of visiting. lol After talking to him though my days got screwed up and I was getting concerned why or how I managed to miss Lost this week. Now I know it's on tonight. Woohoo. LOL

When we did our kitchen it was pretty much do I want a pantry and big pot drawers. Didn't get to decide where everything was going because dh and fil insisted it wouldn't fit. lol I did get the stain I wanted though. When we picked out knobs I loved them but I am tired of them and some broke. I think it's because of us tightening the baby locks so tight around them. At some point I will have to go shopping for new ones.
I don't see why you can't add the spices at the end. I've done that so many times with pasta sauce. Have a nice visit with your dad. :)
Up and ready to go. I have 4 kids today, wait maybe 5. My firend who is about to be a provider has training today and she didn't tell me if her ds was coming or not. If he is, he'll be the ONLY boy here! Was able to take dd to the dr yesterday. She as an aallregic reaction to something. As of this morning it has spread to the other side of her face. I feel bad for her. I hope it goes away soon. Nothing planned for tonight. I am hoping that my late child gets picked up ealry so I can hit Curves. I haven't been since last Friday and I miss it!
Mel, how long has your dh been gone (it seems like he just left yesterday, lol)...how long is the drive?
As long as I have more drawers/counter-top than I currently do, I am happy. DH got the pantry he wanted and ds got the sink in the corner like he wanted. I can't wait to see this all come together.
Jen, did you have to give your dd an antihistamine?

ok...I'm better now...sorry I was cranky before..I even emaildbf at work and apologized..I got some coffee into me and a cofffee roll. Dbf stoped at Dunkin Donuts befor we went.
Think I'll go wat tV now....Have a great day.

okay, I have a crazy man sitting in front of my desk filling out an application while I type. I think he is on something, so I thought if I go down, at least y'all will know to contact dh with my final words. LOL He actually looks like Robert Downey Jr with grey hair.
Amy, maybe he's hoping if he works in a brewery he'll get free beer, or at least get high off the fumes, lol? You'll have to tell us if he actually gets hired :)

Bev, he's been gone since the wee hours last Thurs. His dad and wife are staying tonight and then leaving in the am. I'm very curious why they left a day early. I'm nosey. LOL
Anyone else watching the game tonight? I'm excited that hockey is back, should be an interesting season.

Easy day today, sort of. I only had 2 kids until afterschool. One little boy is potty training and did a number 2 on the carpet. The other little boy stepped in it. Needless to say I had to get the carpet steamer out!! YUCK!! I knew there was a reason I originally didn't take un-trained children.
I have to take ds back to get another cast on Friday so I've been trying to line up help at work. UGH!! that's a whole nother post!
It's cold here! I've been freezing all day at work but refuse to turn the heat on. I just don't want to pay that gas bill!

I'm pooped. My "day off" from nursery school and I worked at Hallmark, came home and had a scout meeting (good Lord, I've got to rein those girls in), did dinner, checked homework and I'm toast.
Linda, sorry 'bout the carpet, I would have THROWN UP!
