View Full Version : When is the best time to exercise?
I try to get mine in first thing in the morning (before eating), because if it doesn't happen then it usually won't happen! A friend is a diabetic and she walks each evening after dinner. Since I have blood sugar probs maybe that would be good for me, too. Another friend exercises right after a protein snack in the am.
So... does it really matter when?
I have read that exercise in the am is the best cause it gets your metabolism going, but I think in the long run consistancy is truly the key.
I have always been an am exerciser, but now that my am starts at 3:30, I haven't been. I really miss it. I need to get back in the habit.

I asked my doctor this because I didn't think I would have time in the am. She told me it doesn't matter when, it's personal preferance and when you can fit it in.

I walk 2 to 2-1/2 miles in the morning after I get up, then I do about a half hours worth of exercises in the afternoon after lunch. Then dh and I walk another 2 to 2-1/2 miles in the evening at about 7:30/8:00, so I don't do mine all at once, but throughout the day.
Okay... so what you're saying is no more excuses, eh? At least I know now, lol!
