Seems quiet here this morning. What's everyone up to?

Kinda chilly here this morning. Highs are only supposed to be in the 50's here this week. Brrrrr! Dks and I are headed to my mom's for the day. I am going to get my hair done while I am there so I am excited. I am so ready for a change and the gal cutting it is awesome, so hopefully I'll like it when I walk out of there. :nervous: LOL!

Morning. That front is headed our way and it's supposed to be a low of 50 tomorrow!!!!! WOW! Lots of bad storms headed this way, so it looks doubtful for baseball tonite.
This is the last week of school...this time next week I will have a middle schooler!!! :bigcry:

Hope the weather doesn't hit you too hard. I saw tornados as a possibility! :nervous: Bummer if your ds doesn't get to play tonight! I'm anxious to hear how they do!! :) Don't these dks grow up too fast!! :(

Yikes, Ann! My Mom, her dh and our oldest dd are heading in your direction! They're on their way to Illinois for a wedding but hopefully they'll miss all of your weather (whispering TORNADOS!)! Actually I think they're just hitting the pan handle so maybe it'll not be bad.

Karla, let us know how you like your new "do"! :)

Nothing much going on here today. Starting some schoolwork with dd and ds and then maybe a trip to Walmart. So very exciting. Oh yes, mustn't forget. I get to clean the kid's bedrooms today! If you don't hear from me in a few days send in the dogs!!! :doggie:

What a great mom!!! :) I loved it when I was younger and came home from school to see my mom had surprised me by cleaning and reorganizing my room! :yippee: Good luck!!

Karla..what are you thinking about doing to your hair? How is it now? Have you been to www.hairdos.com ? they have some good pix.

It's pretty dark here, but no rain yet. Oh and Karla tell your sister that it is SO humid here you can cut the air with a knife!!! LOL

Dark, gloomy, dull, around here. Calling for rain all week. Ryleigh is gone to my sisters for a few days leaving me with the sickie :sick: dd went to sisters too.
Hope the weather down southern way tapers off. Tornado's can be devistating. We had a very mild one come through when I was just a lad and that was enough for me. Praying that everyone will be safe.

Beautiful day here, we just spent four glorious hours at the beach 8) !!! First visit of the year. It is a long weekend here, Victoria day, and our weather has been just perfect.

Dh finished the treehouse he started last weekend so we have had a steady stream of neighbourhood kids through our backyard all weekend, lol!

Karla I am getting my hair trimmed tomorrow, but only a trim. It is finally long enough to put up in a clip and I don't want to jeopardize that with the hot weather on its way.

Ann hope the weather steers clear of you! That's a scary forecast.

So much for dull, and gloomy. I had to sign out quick earlier. Thunderstorm attack. Lot's of noise and flashing lights but not much rain. Just enough to wake ds, and set him off crying for "mommy". He's sleeping again and storm has passed so thought I better work on catching up on my posts while I get the chance. I'm off to my new job shortly and don't know when I will get another chance since I will only be home weekends until we get moved.

Today we went to playgroup. The wind is really blowing but we are only getting a little sprinkle of rain here and there. The high is only 50 for the next two days. Tonight I am having a Creative Memories party. Dh is playing laser tag today (rough work day LOL)

I am so jealous. We had about 5 little tornadoes all around us last night. Minimal damage, though one of my kids told me they were coming home after eating out and the tornado "nearly killed them". One did touch down near where they live but I heard of no reports of damage. Today it was rainy and turned pretty cold. It was 53 on the way home and I had to turn on the heater. Poor students showed up for school today in shorts and spaghetti strap shirts. I wish more parents would listen to the weather.

Glad to hear everyone is ok. I enjoy a good thunderstorm but wind scares me. I've seen what it can do.

Thanks for the link. I didn't see it until now, but maybe I should have before I left..... My sis goes to this gal all of the time and when I mentioned bringing along pics my sis told me I wouldn't need to and to just trust this gal. So, I listened to my big sister. I was scheduled for a perm (I haven't had one in 6 years). I tell the gal I just want some body - not a lot of curl. Well, I now have LOTS of curl!!!!!!!! :grimace: Right before she started the perm she was complementing me on my cute hairstyle and I said, "Maybe I should just stick with it...." Oh no. Dh and my sis love my hair, but it's something I need to get used to. I had straight shoulder length hair with layers. The problem was I have some natural wave, so it was difficult on humid summer days to maintain any sort of style - guess the curls will take care of that for me. LOL!

After my sis's lack of knowledge about humidity in TX maybe that should have been my clue to take along pics!!! :newwink:

The same thought went through my head!!!! LOL

If your dh likes it, I bet it's pretty...it sounds great. Do you have a diffuser and a pic? Try not to blow dry it without one and then just scrunch.

Thanks Ann! I need to dig out my diffuser. I haven't used it in YEARS and I think I packed it when I started packing up some things as I was organizing closets. Ugh! Hopefully I'll get used to it soon. I don't mind it, but I still miss my straight hair. Thanks again! :)

I forgot to add that I think he likes it because it reminds him of how my hair was when we were dating and first married! :brow: LOL!!
