Do you ever feel like you're a step away from catching up with housework and the harder you work the farther away the finish line moves? Kinda like running in a bad dream... you never seem to get anywhere! That's where I am right now, lol. Today will be spent working on the house. It's not terrible, just a lot of little things that have been neglected for a bit.

Quiet day here today. :)

Pam~ I always feel that way...but I'm always at the half way mark....especially laundry.

Ok....woke up cranky and things have just been going wrong since I got out of bed....Thank goodness this is the last day of work this week. But I have to babysit one of the older kids tomorrow...all Day!

Anyway Hope you all have a nice day!

ITA Pam! It's that way with big projects for me. I thought everything would be perfect after I laid wood/laminate flooring on the main level, then new furniture, now I really NEED the front load washer/dryer. LOL It's never ending!!

The housework is never done for me with a 3 year old who messes up as fast as I can clean! I've given that up for now...

I just had this same thought go thru my head earlier this morning as I was trying to decide which to do first - clean bathrooms or tackle the toys surrounding me....decided it doesn't matter where I start there will always be something waiting for me. :crazyroll

I got a call last night to sub (as a TA) in another school in the district. I'm SO nervous I couldn't fall asleep last night. I have been to the school 3 times for training classes and that's it. I'm going to Curves this morning in hopes of talking to a lady who I know works at the school at the same time I will be working. Hopefully she'll be at Curves this morning. Maybe she can give in insight on what grade I'll be working with and what I'll be doing. I know the same lady I'm subbing for today will be out tomorrow, but I don't know if I'll get called for the job (a computer system calls). Ds has a school assembly and for the first time in his 4 years of school I will be able to go. I don't know if I should talk to the teacher today and let her know I can sub tomorrow if needed but that I will be about 35 minutes late. I don't want to disappoint ds and not be there.

Pam-I know what you mean about the house cleaning. I told dh I work my butt off all day cleaning stuff and it doesn't seem to make even the slightest dent. I have so much crap piled up in this house from doing daycare. I seem to get through part of a paperwork pile and have to move on to something else. I am getting things accomplished, just not as quickly as I would like to. I just wish there were some miracle way to make it all disappear in an instant.

Karla, have fun shopping.
I'm with you Pam. I don't even know where to start today. Dh wants me to go shopping for a few things he needs for the church and I'm not sure if it'll happen. I have to put together the shoe boxes and drop them off today. Kids were really good about helping pick out things to put in last night.
I should vaccum furniture, wash floors, laundry and clutter clear today. What on the list will get done, not sure. LOL
Ahhh, the excitment at my house surrounding housework is just unbearable! rofl
Hope you all have a good one :)
Ann, I hope your kids feel better today.

Pam - just had the same thoughts as you and Karla this morning!! It's my day off and I'm determined to get some stuff taken care of. I think if I could just get organized, I could keep up better (or maybe that's an illusion), I dunno.

I've got all the paperwork that's piled up in the kitchen, on the coffee table waiting for me to sort, pitch, file, maybe even SHRED. Laundry is ready to switch and I think dh is coming home for lunch shortly.

I've got to work at Hallmark tonight so I better schedule time for a shower! lol

Is it wrong that I just took a hot bath and put my jammies on at noon? Guess I'm not going anywhere today...

Had fun shopping with dd. I got her some clothes at Kohls and then 3 pair of jeans for me at Old Navy. :yippee: Now I need to clean, although Angie's bath and jammie plan sounds MUCH better. :)

I highly recommend it! I'm glad you had a successful shopping trip!

AnnW - I hope your ds has a better night tonight. My ped. gave me neubulizer treatments for dd's croup, it is so handy to have since it always comes on unexpectedly.

This day is flying by. I can't say I am super busy, but it is very consistent and I am just now taking a break. Just sitting here enjoying my South Beach frozen dinner. It's a wonder I crave carbs when I get home. LOL

All this Christmas shopping talk is getting me excited. I have a ton of ideas for dd, but ds will be harder because he is JUST moving out of toy stuff (what I call plastic crap). LOL

Quiet day here today. :)

Housework? What housework? I've been so busy with school that I wasn't even aware I had a house to clean! I've been tutoring after school which puts me home at 5:00 if I'm lucky (I'm usually not). Then I spend lots of time at home on school things. Between the tutoring and all the extra work that my district is requiring we do to satisfy "No Child Left Behind" I don't know if I'm coming or going. I think we are going a little overboard. I'd like to quit spending so much time "weighing my pigs" and have more time to actually "feed my pigs". I'll step down from my soapbox now.

I keep the babies one night each weekend (Fri. or Sat.), so there goes a day to clean. Then ds comes in on Mondays and the kids stay Mon. & Tues. as well. House cleaning is last on my list. I keep up the laundry, cook a little, love my babies and worry with school. Dh keeps things picked up somewhat but my poor house is far from clean these days.
