Kindergarten Graduation

Does anyone have any good songs, poems, or ideas for a Kindergarten Graduation night. Anything for the children to perform or the teacher to say would be great. Thanks!

Pom, welcome to IB. I too am a kdg. teacher. We have never done a kdg. graduation. I'm sorry I can't share any ideas with you. I was curious though if you and your class next year would be interested in exchanging e-mails with me and my class. Let me know.

For my Kindergarten graduations we do a play. The children memorize lines, dress up in costume, and perform on graduation day. The parents really enjoy it and it takes much practice, but it is soooo cute!!

Pom I think it would be really cute if the kids could each learn a line or two from Robert Fulgram's All I Ever Needed to Know in Life I Learned in Kindergarten, then play the graduation song that came out last year and show a power point presentation of the year's activities if you have taken pics throughout the year. I know I always do. I take a technology workshop in June and can't wait to learn how to do a power point presentation.
