Can't Get Moving!

Sheesh I just cannot get my butt in gear! I was on the computer making up a menu for tonight't supper club, and I am just feeling so unmotivated. Still have some house cleaning to do and some food to prepare, but I am just feeling so tired. Busy week for me, too busy I guess. It's at times like this that I wish I drank coffee, lol!!

Any words of encouragement? how do you get moving when your get up and go has got up and went??? lol!

I feel the same way today, For me, it's the weather. The rain hasn't stopped in over a week.
You have had a busy week. I hope things slow down over the weekend.

What are you serving? I wish we were in a supper club, we were for a while but it seemed like I was the one doing all the entertaining all the time!

Gee, thanks for the words of encouragement, I think, lol!

I do love this dinner club, it is our 8th year, but hosting it is a bit overwhelming sometimes.

We are serving Brandy nut brie (an old standby of mine, always yummy), Caesar salad, bar b qued rib eyes with 4 peppercorn sauce, baked potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, garlic bread, and cheesecake. Our theme is KISS (in keeping with V day) - stands for Keep It Simple Stupid, so we are keeping it simple by serving good, simple food. However, when you serve ten it is never that simple, lol! My table is set beautifully too, I have these antique cranberry glass votive holders so they are serpentining down the table, and I have some red metallic confetti spread around, will look really pretty once the candles are lit.

OK, the bathrooms are calling me, and then I am almost done the housework.

The great news is a wonderful friend is taking the girls overnight!! (Just hoping dd feels well enough to go, her elbow is still a bit tender).

Loved your suggestions!! :) Infact, I made your cheeseloaf awhile back when you first posted it, I posted and told you how delicious it was (don't remember??? lol!). Thought it was too filling before this big meal.

OK, my house is coming together, and my kids are leaving in about and hour and a half (am I allowed to be excited about that?? lol!).
