Well... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
http://bestsmileys.com/christmas3/10.gif
I'm up early to put the turkey in. I volunteered to cook it for my mom so she wouldn't have to get up so early to do it. One less thing for her to have to do. She's getting way too old to be having to do so much for our dinner. She's slowed down so much after her fall and is still feeling the pain so... we should all do whatever we can to help.
I hope you all have a GREAT Christmas!!
Back to bed for me...

:xmas: :xmas: :xmas: :xmas: :xmas: :xmas: :xmas: :xmas:
Better use that smilie while you can!!!
This is the first year that my kids woke up before me! Ds woke up at 6am and jumped up and down until we got up. Gifts are open and now I've got a big cup of coffee... mmmm...
I don't have a ton to pack up for the hotel and we are eating something easy for breakfast. Should be a relaxing day. I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas Day!
Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!!!
Last night wasn't awful. It was actually kind of fun. I really like dad's wife's daughter and her husband . The kids all got along great. And she did end up taking back the skirt and getting dd something else. In fact, all the presents looked like they really put some thought into them.
Everyone is still asleep here. We will open presents whenever they get up. I got sweet rolls to make for breakfast and then we are just gonna chill till 4 when we go to my dads.
Merry Christmas!
We did our family Christmas Friday evening and yesterday morning, so this morning should be quiet and relaxed! :) The kids will open their stockings :stocking: :stocking: :stocking: :stocking: and then the older three will go on to church with dh. I took ds2 to church with me last night and kept him by my side instead of sending him to nursery. He's had a runny nose forever and it was the first time I've been in church for almost two months, with one child and another and myself sick at different times! 8o I don't think he'd sit still for another hour and a half service this morning (and he would need to be even more quiet than last night), so he and I will stick around here. The house needs some attention, so hopefully I can get it all in tip-top shape while the rest are gone.
Another mini-gripe about the weather. It got up to 80 degrees yesterday!!!! 8o So much for Christmas sweaters, LOL! It was shorts and t's here!
Have a great day, everyone!

Oh, Ann, I'm so glad! It's nice that the gifts weren't a bust, either, especially for your dd. :)

Supper at mil...other than that, it will be a quiet day.
:)
Ann, I'm glad your Christmas Eve wasn't a bust. Sounds like it turned out well.
Did lots of visiting yesterday and had lots of company too. Got our gifts open and now just waiting for a sister and her dh to come for brunch...I have a sneaky suspicion that they won't come. Oh well. Going to a hotel for Christmas dinner tonight with Dh's brother/SIL/nephew/Mom/Mom's dh.
Merry Christmas all!!!

Ho Ho Ho!!!!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Dd was up at 6:50 and dh made her stay in our bed til 7. Stockings were fun and the gifts great! I made out like a bandit this year from dd and dh, I'm going to make a list EVERY year from now on. lol
Still feeling cruddy, and can't quite decide if I should go see the g'parents or not. I'd hate to make them sick, but I'd also hate to spend Christmas day alone...
Ann, SO glad last night was enjoyable. I'd say, everytime sm is coming over, have a buffer! Her dd was the buffer last night so it gave you someone else to focus on, which HAD to help. lol Glad the kids all enjoyed their goodies!! Enjoy the rest of your day!
Can't wait to check in later to see what everyone's goodies were. :stocking:
Want to hear something terrible??? Now that the presents are opened, I have this huge itch to put away ALL the christmas stuff and steam clean the carpets!! I just want to do a huge spring cleaning. LMAO! If my parents weren't coming here in 10 mins, I think I would actually. Maybe later this afternoon...
Santa left a trampoline in our shed and hung the shed keys on the tree. Dd had no idea why there was shed keys on the tree and was actually scared that there was a dead body in the shed. LOL So we are out there at 6:15am, with a flashlight and our boots on. Dh opens the shed and screams, which makes dd scream like a banshee and she was shocked! LOL She is soooo on the line of believing and not believing, but this confused the heck out of her and there was a note that read "Always believe in the Magic.." ;)
Cute story, Amy...but why didn't Santa set it up? ;)
Kids loved their gifts. DS was blown away with his stereo pad thingy..the speakers are awesome!!! DD was so stunned with her cell phone.
DH and I decided that were weren't going to exchange presents this year, but he cheated and got me a really pretty jacket from Chicos.
DH is fixing breakfast and when he's finished, I've got to start making the appetizers for tonite.
We had fun last night playing games. The whole gang will be here at some point and time today. (It was just the parents and stepsis and her bf yesterday) Today stepbro and his gf will be here as well. Dks LOVED their Nintendo DS's.
Merry Christmas All!
Ann- I'm glad it went well.

I go through the same thing each year! I'm already ready for it to be put away and my house back to "normal", but the kids would revolt if I tried to take the tree down now, since we waited so long to put it up! :D

Merry Christmas!!!
Had a nice Christmas Eve with just us and got a couple hours sleep since we did all the wrapping last night. The boys were all soooo excited. The two older ones were up a good 2 hours before us and ds3 and didn't want to wake us too early so they chatted while going through stockings. So sweet. lol Sil and her dh are coming for dinner, I cooked the turkey yesterday to give me more time with the boys today. A friend is coming for dinner as well.
Ann, glad that things went so well last night and the gifts weren't a bust.
Amy, that is hilarious!! Cool idea with the note and keys.
Wishing you all a very happy day and a wonderful Christmas. I'll try to catch up more later, gotta go check on brunch. :xmas:
Well since I just put my tree up on Thursday, it can stay up until new years day now.
Sis and her dh came for brunch...got to use my new dishes! Going up to see my Dad shortly.
Amy, too funny about your tramp.
Merry Christmas everyone
DD loves her american girl and her Nintendo DS....
DS is totally involved in his gameboy with all his new games.....
DH is playing his X-box games....I am tired....
Got some great sun glasses from dh, and a coffee cafe single server....
Dad and his wife are coming for dessert later.....
Ann-glad every thing went off well last night.

We had ds2 waking everyone up at 8. (He knocked on our door at 7:50--"because Dad's so slow", and he called dd1 on her cell phone to wake her so she wouldn't hit him. LOL) He's 16, but so excited about everything. I got a million presents--we all did. Dds are off to their dad's and dh's 3 are on their way to their mom's. It'll be a quiet evening here. I could sleep for a week!!!
Merry Christmas everyone.

Ann- I'm glad to hear it. You were in my thoughts several times throughout the day. Little baby steps............

(???)
Do they always fight like that? I feel fortunate that my siblings all get along with each other. They may not always like each other but they always do their best to get along with each other whenever were together. (otherwise I don't think I'd be there...) :(

That's too bad... makes it really hard to get together and have a good time.
