View Full Version : Wednesday, right?
very confused on the days........
work till 10:30. mountains of laundry to do. hopefully i will get a nap. haven't been able to lately with ds' doctor's appointments and am just wiped! i went to bed at 8:30 (normal time) but was so out didn't hear the dogs barking at a possum last night at 10! ds said the dogs just went wild!!! LOL
I have been keeping busy at work and at home with the "poof monster". LOL This ferret thinks he owns the place and my female dog, Darby, has someone who can keep up with her. Everytime I feed Flynn some kibble, Darby has to have a little too. I think I see some serious playmates. :)
I am so freaking bloated this month! I can't fit into anything and I swear once my friend comes, I am going to bypass this in the future by drinking more water and getting down to the basement to exercise!

AnnW - You seen like you've been tired for a while. Are your meds where they should be? How is ds today? Have you been working more than normal?
Amy - Glad to hear all is well with the animals!
Today I have food pantry, classroom restocking at the church. I did all my returns yesterday except for Bath and Body Works. I can't find my receipt, arg! I am usually so good about keeping them.
Have a great day all!

Slowly feeling better drinking a ton if fluids....still very thirsty. stopped the allergy meds. see how the next few days go....I'm going to be lazy until work.
Just housework today. I think I can stay off the phone today as I think I got all the phone calls made I needed to the past 2 days.
We are having four 9-10 yr old boys and four 11 yr old girls spend the night on Saturday. Dd had wanted to have a sleep over with her friends before we leave. Well, then ds get the bright idea that he wants to have friends over too. We don't have enough time left to do the sleep overs on different nights. Hopefully dh and I survive the evening.

Drove the kids to school this am, very icy outside. Dh is going to work today since he's feeling better so it's ds3 and I. I am hoping that he is content to play today so I can clean the house. Euchre is tonight, now switched to Wed. instead of Mon's. I am so looking forward to it. (insert a card holding smilie here)lol. Not sure if dh is going so I don't know yet to call the babysitter after school or not.
Hope you all have a good day :)

Good luck! Should be fun though! Pull out some games and they should have a blast....LOL...Just pictured twister :biglaugh:
Morning....getting the kids ready for school.....ds is in the shower....dd getting dressing, I needed to check some things on the computer, and couldn't resist checking in.....
I wish it was friday, this week has been long, our Accounting gal is still out so I am filling in there as well as my normal duties....seem like I am a turning top.....
Still not getting along with the HR lady, but things are going pretty well at work, I miss the accounting gal, one because I am way too busy.....and two because we have so much fun.....she won't be back until maybe late next week....
Ann- hope you can grab that nap....
Jak's- how fun, when do you leave? is this going to your folks and then Germany right?
Amy- Its good that they get along right?

Not much on my agenda for the day. Since I hadn't been able to get in here for almost a week, I had to find other things to do to keep me busy. :) Needless to say, I busied myself with my house and got everything cleaned and reorganized. I thought it was before but it "really" is now. LOL I think if I hadn't gotten back in here soon I probably would have driven myself and dh crazy. I realized just how much I depend upon this place to entertain me. LOL I sure missed not being here.
Dh's sending his resume in to another company... a salaried position WITH benefits. He's been with the company he's with now for over 16 years, so if he gets the job it will be a big change for us. I'm sure they'll offer him a lot more than what he's making now. He own's everything he's written/has now so would be a big + to the company if they do decide to hire him. Keeping our fingers crossed. :)
Picking my mom up after dh gets home from work. Target, then back home to spend some quiet time with dh. Dd and her bf might come over for a while. She said something about bringing the boy's (ferrets) with to visit. :) I've even missed them! LOL I'm adjusting though and starting to enjoy being an empty nester. Dd calls regularly, so that's helped a great deal.
Ann... hope you get some z's today.
Amy... too funny about the ferret and your dog. I always thought our cat "tolerated" the ferrets but now that they're gone she's been looking all over for them. I think she misses them too. LOL
Renee... Hope next week will be a better week for you after the accounting gal comes back...
Jak... good luck with all the kids. I'm sure you'll be happy when it's time for them all to get picked up. LOL
Vea... glad to hear you're feeling better.
sista... enjoy your day off!
Melody... hope you get your house work done.
angie... hope you found your receipt.

Can you tell me again what he does? I always here about networking meetings, but I never got what he was networking for
Actually the Flynn and Darby fill a void for each other. Flynn has a playmate and Darby has someone she can herd. LOL

!
i need a check up so my meds could be off but getting up at 3:30 and only getting 5 hours of sleep a day doesn't help, not to mention stress.
Up early to decorate a cake, then had an eye appt. and back here by 10 to watch dgd. Was quite proud of my cake this morning it was one I've never done before, a plate of salad! They wanted to think they were eating healthy LOL.
Now I have a little time to tidy up and then dgd is back for an hour and then it's my long night of coaching. This afternoon dgd will nap, thank goodness I don't have to listed to the wiggles again! I bought her some wiggles DVD's for christmas and she is addicted!!
Amy - glad you are enjoying your new baby
Jen - your must be getting so excited for the move
AnnW - I hope things quiet done for your household soon.

Hmmmm.... Who else thinks Diane needs to get a ferret, too?? :D

((((AnnW)))) How is dd doing with all the attention to ds? I hope you are asleep now!!!
just got off the phone with my brother. his mil died last night. my heart just breaks for my sil, to lose one parent was devastating enough, to lose both within 5 months, i just can't imagine.
there was kind of a neat ending to this all. On Friday, they were told that D wouldn't live till Sunday. On Monday she was still alive. Yesterday a good friend of my brother and sil called and said 'i need to tell you what god is telling me. He is telling me that D is waiting for her daugther to come to her". sil got on a plane yesterday and got there around 10 pm. told D it was ok for her to go and that she was there. D died at 3 AM.

She is very worried about him too. she has a very sweet heart. i do worry that we will be sending her to therapy too.

I think it would be harder for me to watch my brother be sick, than to be sick myself. Your dd is such a "caretaker" from what I see the way she takes care of her friends. It is so neat to watch the good characteristics of a parent shine through their children. You are such a great mommy!
Hugs and prayers that ds will be cured and life can get back to normal soon. You are doing a fantastic job, always on the ball, I'm so impressed by you!

I'm so sorry for their loss, Ann. But what a wonderful memory for them to be left with.
It's amazing what the sick will do, and how they will hold on until they are told it's okay to go, etc.
My stepsister held on until the day after her birthday. The whole family was there for her birthday, and she knew it (although unconscious), but hung on until the day was over and no one was there..... pretty amazing.

How sad, but what a neat story!! It is amazing how people can do that. Dh's dad did that with dh's brother. I also swear he did it with holidays/events surrounding his death - just unreal how that can all work out. Anyway, prayers to your family for their loss!
