I still don't appreciate spending $1.65 per gallon for gas. I've noticed that this summer the price of diesel has not gone up the same way it did last summer. Last summer when it hit $1.50 the truckers threatened to strike. This summer when gas increased, I've noticed that diesel is still about 20 cents a gallon cheaper, keeping it under $1.50. ???????

I paid a $1.70 the other day here on base and it's supposed to be cheaper. We will be driving to visit family for vacation soon(across country) and I hate the fact that now it's going to cost more I have saved enough $ but the point is what i will now be paying for gas I could of used to take the kids to the zoo or someplace fun on the way home. I cant imgaine what it will be in the next few months. JMO

I would bet the yearly expenditure for each of these items is less than what we pay for gas in a month.

I saw a vial of whiteout today. Its actually 0.7 oz. That stuff is $250 a gallon. yikes!!!

ok it made me laugh but I still hate paying $1.65 a gallon for gas.....I feel like I should stay home more so I don't have to fill up, then when I do go out its gone up another couple of cents.....yikes...

When asked on the Today Show this morning if the price of gas would effect their travel plans, people said "no, not really". Well there you have it. As long as it doesn't effect our travel plans we might as well get used to being stiffed. Rest assured we'll pay more next year because of it.

Gas prices here are about $.79 - .82 a litre. Not sure just off hand that would be a gallon. (about $3.50 - 3.75). heard it is suppose to be up to $1.00 a litre by July. (4.50 gallon). I don't think we will be doing much if any travelling :(
