Good morning everyone!!

Back to normal today, kids to school, me to Target! I may have breakfast with a friend, not sure about that yet. I am keeping the little one I have now and his 2 brothers tonight while their parents go to a ball game. It should be a fun night!

Have a great day all!

Well, so far today I have procrastinated. I have been dinging around online while holding a sleeping dd :tinysmile and I haven't even switched laundry loads. Guess it's time I go find myself some motivation since it obviously wasn't anywhere I was looking online. :goofy:

If it weren't for the fact that both of my dds are too big for me to carry around, *I* could have written this post!

Time to get off my butt and get something done around here! I had such grand plans for cleaning today, but here it is after 9:00 and I've got nothing done yet.

The first thing I need to do, before I forget, is to put the roast in the crockpot! Dd1 has been asking for Italian beef for ages and they finally had a decent sale on the roasts this past weekend. I've been digging into the jar of pepperoncinis though, so hopefully there's still enough. :D

Gymnastics and care group today.

Enjoy the time with your mom, Mel! :)

Morning,

Day off for me today. Taking DS#3 this morning to my Grandparents house while I go to get my hair cut, then to Walmart to pick a few things. Then home to do laundry and cleaning. Want to get it done before surgery on Thursday that way Dh wont have to much on his plate.
Tonight I am going to a scrapbooking workshop with some friends, not sure how much we will get done we always just wind up chatting.

Thats about it here..Should be a nice day today going up to plus 4C..Now things aree melting again making it very messy out there..Going through tons of washer fluid this year.

Hope you all have a great day.

I'm back home after my morning without kids. I spent most of my time shopping for the food pantry. Which was fun! I didn't find anything fun at Target, they've already shipped the clearance out to Goodwill. Oh well...

Not much else today until the rest of the kids get home and then it's the "oh so fun" homework and dinner routine!!

Let's talk procrastination, and don't laugh!!! I just took down my Christmas tree decorations last night. Waiting now to see how long dh will procrastinate before putting the tree away.

It's been a morning for me! Woke up at 5 this morning and then left the house at 5:30 to go drop my vehicle off to be shipped to Germany. On the way there, ds calls and says his stomach hurts- well, I'm an hour and a half away. I tell him to lay down and I'll call him back in a little while to see if he's feeling better. Then he PUKES while I am talking to him. All over my bathroom floor. Needless to say he didn't go to school. Dh and I get home around 11:30 and I couldn't even clean up the puke because it smelled horrible (like rotten milk). Dh was very nice to me and cleaned up the worst of it. I started cleaning up the rest, but decided to take a break and check in here while I was on hold trying to make a dr appt for myself. My jaw is still bothering me. I tell you if it's not one thing it's another. Nothing like running around like a wild chicken with your head cut off just 16 days before you move! I finally got through to make the appt and I they can't help me at the moment because the computers are all down. They hope to have them working this afternoon or at the latest tomorrow morning. Anyone know how to make an aching jaw with really plugged up ears go away??? I looked it up online and basically it says I have TMJ. Don't know how to help that. :bawling:

I;m off to clean up the rest of ds's puke. YUCK!

Ann- how did it go on Friday with ds? Did I miss a post about how his appt went?

what a morning! hope your ds feels better soon. i was thinking TMJ too...stress can make your clench your jaw too (even subconsciously)

it went fine. gave him some sleeping pills to help him sleep, they don't seem to be working. he has the barrium test tomorrow.

How do you rid of TMJ? or at least relieve it?

I hope the test get done quickly and as painlessly as possible. Will you find out results after the test or will you have to wait?

not sure about TMJ, but a mouth guard for at night will help with the clenching if you are doing that.

not sure

It actually felt better when I woke up this morning. I'm wondering if it isn't sinus related because my ears are really bothering me too and that's what happens when my allergies are really bad. I honestly think I'm allergic to something in my house (maybe mold). There are houses all over this base condemned because of it. I am the one that spends the most time in the house. Dh gets out for work and school and the kids are at school all day and go to the after school program until 5 every night. I'm here almost all the time. Every time we've gone away (to San Diego) to visit, my allergies never act up. I took Sudafed a while ago and my ears are a little better, but still worse than they ever have been. Hopefully I can get in to see a dr. Only 6 more days sleeping in this house- maybe that will cure it all!

I was diagnosed with TMJ at 18. It has never hurt, so, so far they haven't done anything. They tell me it can be very painful. I wore a mouthpiece type thing for a while. When I was first diagnosed they talked about surgery. It is alot like the knee surgery where the cardilage (?) has pushed out. The cardilage has pushed out from between the jaw. Which could cause ear trouble depending on where it ends up. Mine makes a terrible cracking sound when I open my mouth wide.

It actually is an aching type of pain when I'm not talking/eating. When I eat it clicks (I guess that's the only way to describe it).

I would take ibuprofen if it were me, but have it checked out for sure. I can't chew gum because my jaw gets achy.

I had tmj and braces corrected my bite. Yours kinda sounded like sinus stuff to me. That's what happens to me when I get bad sinus problems. A chiropractor might be able to help and it would be a cheap, easy fix. (compared to the other alternatives)

Tree is still in living room, but dh won't be home til tomorrow night. And, yes my stockings are still hung. I was going to get rid of them today, just didn't want to climb in the closet to get down the storage boxes. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I just can't find the time. I did get my house cleaned tonight.

Ended up keeping the kids tonight. They spent Sun., Mon. and today with ds. He called me at 5:00 to say that dil wanted him to keep them another night, but he has to be at work early tomorrow. When I got home she I saw on my caller ID she'd called at 11:00 this morning but did not leave a message. I don't know what she was thinking, she knows I was at school. Anyway they are here and I've not heard a word from her. I'm assuming if I drop them off at day care in the morning she'll send her mom after them in the afternoon. Who knows. What a piece of work she is. But I didn't mean to go down that road

Thanks for the votes of confidence girls. I don't know if I'm a great grandmother or an enabler since I don't force her to deal with her kids. But quite frankly I'm afraid of what might happen to them if I did.

Kat, for now think of the memories that your helping these little ones have, where later they will WANT to be more an more with you. It will also help them see that they are definitely loved and wanted at your place no mantter what, which will be great for them. So forget the enabling thinking, just think of the great time you have with them and the memories its createing ..
