How is everyone this am???
I can not believe that school will be out at 1:45 tomorrow and I will have a middle schooler!!!!!!! where did my baby go??? :bigcry:
Not much on for me today, MUST go to the grocery store..we have been dumpster diving for the past week. After school, I am taking ds to be fitted for his violin for middle school.
Tommorrow is wild. Graduation at 8:10, 5th grade graduation party 2-4, dd has a party from 3-5, and I have a lady party for a friend moving to Indonesia at 7.
Hope everyone has a great day!!!!!!!!

Sounds busy!! A middle schooler huh? you sure don't act old enough for that!! :)
We aren't out of school till next Friday. I can't wait. Between now and then it is extremely busy!! Tonite we have the 1st grade picnic and awards. I have a baseball coaches mtg at 7pm. Next week there are field trips and parties galore at school. Such a fun time. The country club pool has opened and we still haven't gotten there. Besides the snow on Sunday it has been windy and colder. The boys want to go so bad. I may take them over and let them freeze this afternoon. Have a great day!!

Ann you crack me up - dumpster diving - I'm sure!!!

I went through the same feelings about ds going to Middle School last year. It's turned out great, though. Every parent gets to go through the anguish, I guess. Same as when they go off to Kindergarten.

I've got a sick boy this morning. The 3 year old has a fever and just threw up his juice. So I guess I'm stuck here today and ya'll get to entertain me. I was going to go work out.

Tomorrow is field day at middle ds's school. We'll see if the little one is well enough for me to go help with it. Is that a state requirement in Texas or something LOL!? The boys always had a field day in OK, but it seems like everywhere I've been for the last 2 weeks I hear Moms and kids talking about their field day.

Oldest ds got 2 party invitations this weekend. I'm so relieved! We've been here almost 6 months and none of the boys have gotten a single invitation until these. My heart would just break when ds would come home telling me about a party he wasn't invited to. Who knew having kids would be so hard!

Well have a great day ladies, I'm going to try to get ds to eat a popsicle.

That's we call living out of the fridge/freezer! LOL

yep..I think field day is mandatory! Just like TAAS. LOL btw..what did your boys say about their first TAAS?

yea about the invite!

You all are sooo busy!! Ds has been sickly this week so we have been at home. He is feeling much better this morning and is taking it out on his sister. LOL

I am waiting for the ribs I ordered for dh's party to arrive. Tonight I am heading to the grocery to get everything else. It looks like rain tomorrow, but I am hoping to have a break at least during dinner time. Standing up and eating bbq ribs isn't too easy!!!! LOL I am hoping to use our deck and tables for more seating at dinner time. It is so funny, I am more excited about dh's birthday than I was about my own. I tried to get his twin to fly out for the party but he is just finishing up a class for his MBA and can't make it. :(

That's it for me today. Wish I could help you all on accomplishing all your tasks. Except for TXmom! I think your baby wants you over me when he is sick!! Hope he is feeling better fast!

Unlike the rest of you... I'm having a VERY quiet day today and am looking forward to an even quieter one tomorrow. I've got two kids out with the chicken pox...one out sick with the flu... so I only have six kids here. Tomorrow I'll only have one or two, so I'm really looking forward to a few unusually quiet day's. :) I gave notice to another one of my day care parents... and am slowly letting kids go, so my summer is starting to look pretty good/quiet. I may give notice to one or two more and then I'll kind of be where I want to be at. LOL I have no idea how much longer I'll be doing this but I decided that as long as it's going good and I'm happy (and the kids/parents I have are happy) I'll continue to do it. I found that by letting a few of my stinkers go, has really helped with everybody's attitudes. LOL

My middle dd has classes tonight while my youngest dd has been invited back to her middle school for a choir reunion. Her old choir teacher is retiring and has invited all of his acapella (sp??) girls (30 years worth) back to all sing together. I'm sure it's going to be a very emotional time for the teacher. He's such of a GREAT teacher and I'm sure that he'll have a good turn out. :) The kids, as well as the other teachers and staff will really miss him after he's gone. He's one of those kind of teachers that everybody wants to have.

Anyway, I'd better get going. I've got my kids up to the table painting pictures for their parents. LOL I've got one who's paint brush just "accidently" slipped and the girl next to her now has a mustache. LOL KIDS!!! Better get going before somebody's hair gets painted red. LOL Take care everybody and I hope you all have a good day!

Quiet here today. Ds had a track meet/Field day today, but his allergies got the best of him and he decided to stay home. School is winding down. We get out early tomorrow and then have half days next Tues. and Wed. then I'm free! :yippee:
Ds signed up for classes yesterday and has decided to take band and basketball. Now he has to decide what instrument to buy. Can I assume he'll pick a cheap one? He wanted to take Bball but has already begun to worry about having to shower at school. This boy won't even use the bathroom at school, just waits all day til he gets home. Bless their hearts. There are alot of pressures for "middle schoolers".

WOW! Everyone is so darn busy! (Diane - "only" 6 kids doesn't sound like a quiet or easy day to me LOL!)

Had a gal here this morning doing an appraisal for the buyers. I think she was here a whole 15 minutes and she'll get $350 for doing it!

Not much else going on here today. Still rainy and gloomy. Hoping for some sun for the wknd.

She will have to go back to her office and work for about an hour to do the actual appraisal. They only come and look at the house to be sure it is in the condition stated. They get most of the info from your assessors card. Still good money for the time spent and you get to be out and about! Be nice to them though, they can make or break the sale. LOL

MM ! I'm baby sitting my "God"daughter today. We homeschooled this mornng, sculpted our own "The Thinker"s , went to the park for 45 minutes, then finally hit the local grocery store. Home now. The boys are in the pool and my Nena is sleeping on the bed next to me. I have some gardening to get to, maybe tomorrow. Way too hot to get out there now. Looks like rain :-).
Pasa Buen dia! ßß!

It's still cold and windy here. Looks like coldy and rainy for Memorial day weekend too. Kids are bouncing off the walls (literally!). I have to deliver some Avon, maybe run into town since dh is home for the afternoon.

It would be a perfect day for napping, if they'd just let me!

Printer is out of ink again, so desparately hoping the cartridges come UPS today so I can get my resumes out.

Hope you all have a good weekend!!

I have a sick little boy here, again. If it isn't one it's the other. So I kept them both home from school, this way I didn't have to try and take one out while he is throwing up.
You all sound so busy. I can't believe school is over or nearly over for some of you, I wish it was here.
The roof was done over the weekend and the inside of the house remained in tact with so many men in it! lol but it fell apart when the kids and I got home and tried to unpack. So now I am trying to get on top of things again before they start to spiral out of control. I'm almost to tired, up most of the night checking in on oldest ds.
I did take the kids to mil's for the weekend and it was 'o.k'. The boys had fun and on the way home we stopped at my uncle's farm and let the kids go for pony rides. This weekend comming will hopefully be spent cleaning my van and freeing the yard of nails. Have a good day all.

Compared with the 12 I use to have it's NOTHING... Especially when their all my really "good" kids. :)

Isn't that terrible what you pay an appraiser... $350.00 for FIFTEEN minutes worth of work??? I wish I could make that kind of money? It takes me half a week to make that! I'm guessing I'm in the wrong kind of business... LOL, maybe I should quit and become an appraiser! LOL

Have a fun weekend... either shopping or relaxing at the lake. Both sound like a lot of fun!

We had playgroup this morning, then I went to the doc for my foot. He didn't find anything definite but gave me some arch support and I'm supposed to go back in a couple weeks to see if it's any better. I almost wish they had found something more definite wrong just so I could get it fixed and move on. New deck furniture comes tomorrow so I hope we have a little sunshine this weekend but it's not looking very promising
:(
Going to have the neighbors and their kids over tomorrow for lunch, maybe the kids will calm down with some friends over. No really big plans for the weekend yet.

I know she has more work to do. I was just shocked at how quickly it went - even with my little ones chatting her head off! LOL! When we had our house appraised last fall it seemed to take that gal a lot longer. Then again it also took her forever to get our appraisal back to us. ;) This gal was nice and told us how nice our house is, so that was nice to hear. :) Maybe I just thought it went too fast because I am in desperate need of adult conversation and wanted her to hang out longer! :newwink: ROFL!!

Good Evening all! I sounds like everyone has been/is busy! I can't believe it's Thursday already...time flies!
I haven't had time to be here, either :( DH had his eye surgery and all went well :) Then I came down with some bug...all I want to do is sleep and I ache...ick. Tonight the headache I get for sinus started so I think it's time to call for meds tomorrow. Fun, huh?

I hope I can get here more tomorrow...just didn't want you all to think I jumped ship! Have a great night!
